how many rpms can a gearbox withstand? say a gearbox with a 100:1 ratio? and is it ok the reverse it, meaning instead of using it as a gear reducer turn in into a gear multiplier? i would really appreciate your response.
RPMs vary by gear box and are specified in the datasheets at www.automationdirect.com. The Gearboxes are NOT designed to operate in reverse so we don't recommend doing that ...
