This is good stuff. You know it’s funny how you said you can’t sell to the add on benefits, but that’s all the TV commercials and Facebook ads do. That’s why they initially call in.
I'm early in the process of exploring opportunities in selling Medicare products. To date, this is absolutely the most helpful video for prospective agents and New Horizons is now top of list for FMO/IMO to interview. Thank you so much!
It's Dec 7, 2023, brand new to Medicare and just approved to sell by the carrier on Dec. 5, 2023. Talk about pressure!! I passed AHIP 3 weeks ago. I feel like I'm on an island because I am having to push to get any help or the resources I need from carrier and the FMO.
Yeah Dec. 5 is really too late to do much of anything! If you need help, reach out to us after January 1, and we can talk about any changes you might want to consider. Thanks!
CMS governs all Medicare products including Medicare Supplements. The marketing guidelines that are reviewed annually are reserved for Medicare Advantage products as well as the PDP portion of the enrollment.
Because of their cookie-cutter platform, it could be said that Medicare Supplement products are easier to explain as a commodity. In other words they are identical in nature and distinguished by price. Medicare Advantage is not based on a cookie-cutter platform and can be distinguished by their plan benefits as well as their ancillary offerings
Technically you'd have to end the call. You can explain that it's a government requirement and not optional, but ultimately if they refuse you'd have to end the call to remain compliant.
