Is it safe to ship things with your return address?? How do you handle this? I am worried about sending items to random people with my home address on there
Is there a way to organize your items if you sell a lot of different things on Facebook marketplace and have someone to go to go to your particular page where they can see everything you sell. For example if I sell dresses, purses, and jewelry can I have those organized? I would like to be able to direct my customers and friends to all of my listings in one area so is this possible?
Question on the obvious, lol...is marketplace a standalone? Can an account be created specifically to sell on marketplace? I deleted my fb account 3 years ago. I want to sell on marketplace now. Is there a form of probation for a new account?
Sadly you would have to make an account! But I’m sure you don’t really even need to use it. I would just add a faux name and a profile picture and you should be set!
I have shipped 30 items. Had great reviews. I even bought items that were shipped on Facebook. Now I no longer see how to purchase an item shipped. So I also noticed that no one can buy from me using shipping. Where did that option go. Am I missing something? Please help !
Thanks for the tips. When we occasionally sell items on eBay the percentage they take in fees are ridiculous. Think we will try Facebook market place now 👍😀
Some will still ask you the mesurments even though they are clearly listed on the post , they will also ask you a thousand times if its still available, if you have someone local to you that can pick up they will set a pick up time and not show up that happens a lot , i have 2 business pages on Facebook and i have been selling in marketplace on Facebook for about 8 years i also sell in around 40 groups on Facebook , peaple will drive you batty with questions and never purchase the item, good luck to everyone happy selling
I have been selling on Facebook Marketplace for about 5 months and I just got banned from selling or buying with no explanation and no one will reply to my requests to review why. Apparently it happens and I know I didn't violate any of the community standards or policies. I am about ready to quit Facebook entirely because I am so frustrated with not being able to contact anyone. It has been 9 days and no one has contacted me. I sold only local no shipping.
@@cd2659 I have not had it happen to me, thankfully, but from what I’ve read on FB groups, it’s difficult and time consuming to get unbanned. I’ve also read that other have experienced just waking up unbanned one morning. I suggest joining (Facebook) Marketplace Seller Community or Shipping on Marketplace.
I really enjoy selling on FB. Apparently there’s a thing where once you’ve made $600 you have to give them your tax info and you can’t ship items until it’s processed. Which is fine, but I sent in my info 2 weeks ago and it said it’d only take a couple of days. Has anyone else dealt with this? How long did it take until you can ship again?
You didn't mention, when shipping usps can you put the package in the mailbox since it has been paid for or does it have to be scanned in at the post office?
Hey! Usps mail carrier here, if you have more than what can fit in the mail box, you can call your local Usps and request a package pick up, just let them know how many packages and you can put it on your front door step so they will take it, or if you want them to ring the door bell, they’ll come to you!
I'm not a big fan of Facebook. but..I do like and see the benefit of listing items on fb marketplace and other fb selling/buying pages. I created an account on fb a week ago, but signed up using a nickname. (I like to keep my fb private from family/friends) As of right now, I have my items set for local pick up. My question is when it comes down to the shipping, do you need to use your legal name or a nickname you have already set on fb?
@@delaneyhoskins2936 so I went for it and added shipping option on my listings yesterday. It asked for my legal name and lastname info and bank routing info to get paid, I entered my info and Just this morning when I opened fb my account got disabled and I’m worried and don’t know what to do. Can you help me or someone? Thanks.
how can you ensure that the payment is secured so that you can ship it without it getting canceled. I am worry that after I ship, the buyer can just cancel the order or the payment and then they can keep the item plus the money.
You are not only beautiful you are a very Smart young lady..I love to see young people be successful in their ventures and I have a feeling you will always be successful as your very talented and a self starter. I really enjoy watching your hauls..🤗😊
It seems a little strange that the buyer gets the item first, then they pay you. What if they dont pay? Can you choose to have them pay you first then ship it?
They pay Facebook immediately then Facebook holds that payment until the buyer has received the item. It’s Facebook’s way of making sure no one is getting scammed.
Can someone help me understand how Facebook is able to determine my shipping fee without knowing what state the buyer lives in? Trying to figure out if it's cheaper to use the Facebook label or to take it to the post office or use Click and Ship.
I’ve recently started shipping on Facebook marketplace and I really love it for all the same reasons you listed. There’s one thing that I’m not clear on though is it the same as poshmark and can use any priority box or do you just have to use your own box?
