I wanna thank you a lot Linda. I applied to my dream job and to be honest, this is the only job that I applied which were crazy since if I got rejected then I don’t have any backup plan. But applying everything I learned from your videos, finally, I got an offer. It doesn’t matter if it was your first time applying, what matters is that you got the skills, smile and a story. Thank you again Linda.
Employers give you the answers on their job postings. Be a salesman, they have a need on their job description, address their needs with your experience(stories). Never criticize your former employers, exude positive energy. You will get that job offer because most people don't know how to interview.
Hi Linda! I just wanted to say through watching and learning through your videos I landed a job offer that I am so incredibly happy with! My current job (which I got 2 years ago) was also through watching you so I really wanted to say thank you for your time to support all of us time and time again!
I watch your video and without even taking your classes I was able to land my dream job with an excellent benefit package thank you for helping me to sell myself you are the truth. With just the little bit of information I took from your video I was able to find the confidence I needed to land that job. That was the best interview I had ever had in my life and the pay rate was one of the best I have ever been offered. You are amazing! I can't believe after 4 years of taking care of my children full time mom and trying to get back into the job market I was able to apply the information to an interview and sell myself a land the job of my dreams. This career I don' t have the education but I have the experience and I always felt like I was out of my league with other customer rep professionals and I landed the job of my dreams.
You definitely need to prep beforehand (stories in which you show your skills, STAR method). Love how Linda's bringing real people with real results. It's very inspiring for us creators in the job-finding niche.
@@candacedawn357 situation, task, action, result. You want to let them know what was at stake (new product launch would make or break company, for example), then what was your task (big obstacle to overcome), then action (what amazing steps you took to win the day), results (how everything turned out great based on your actions). You want to include numbers were possible, since they give weight to the situation (what was at stake) and the results (gained x% market share, etc.).
Hi Linda, I appreciate your bringing in real people to give feedback on their experience of your program. I watched many of your videos in preparation for an interview I had been shortlisted for. I utilized your story telling approach to prepare for the interview. I would like to express my thanks to you for such videos as they addressed anxiety and gave me the confidence I required to move on through the various stages of the interview. And yes, I was offered the job.
Hi Linda, I would just like to thank you for the tips that you shared in this video. I followed your consultant approach and going into the job description to formulate the questions tip, and I got a call in the morning that I got an offer for the position that I really really wanted for more than a year and a half. Thank you once again! Cheers!
Please do a mock interview I’ve been interviewing for over a year I currently work so that might be the prob but I really wanna work somewhere else I haven’t gotten past the interviews😩
She never mentioned her age. Congrats to her, it is very depressing when you’re in a bad financial situation. Thank God she had a supportive husband to help her pay for it bc being out of a job surely can’t pay for the program. 👍
Linda let me start by saying you are a true inspiration and all the videos you put out there to help people with this very important life factor we all have to go through, a big THANK YOU!!!! I just signed up for two of your free courses and I’m taking them today. Amazing video full of authentic solid inspiration!!
As a medical receptionist I knew I could do the job. I would observe other receptionist and think to myself what am I not doing what other receptionist are doing and I realized that they were doing the basics. Not going above and beyond like I thought they should. I would observe receptionist that barely even smile at you. When you ask them a question they just say I dont know and I think how are they working here???? I realized it wasn't my skills it was me being able to sell it to the interviewer. I'm very observant so I almost know instantly when I say something and the interviewer doesn't like the answer and I think sometimes when I make that observation I just give up.
Hey Linda! We love your videos and we're a massive fan here at CareerAddict. You clearly execute the very best interview advice. Keep up the good work!
you have to tell us how she sold herself in the interview and minimize promoting the program as the title of the video is "How to sell Yourself in the interview". We all know that Linda is doing a great work and I really appreciate her valuable and and useful advises but I expected that this video will give me a basic idea on how should I sit for the interview and how I sell myself using a specific and strategic method.
Hi Lynda, am in a Similar situation, I need to jump up from my current role but am really scared of facing an interview, please help me...I watched your videos and quite impressed with your work...
Hi Linda, How can I beat an internal employee? Recently I was given a verbal offer over the phone but the next day, the hiring manager said HR is requesting them to interview an internal candidate before proceeding... apparently I’m still her #1 candidate and the hiring manager doesn’t think another interview will change her mind... not sure what my chances are? (sounds like I’m more qualified on paper) Is there a way to beat an internal candidate at this point or should I not even worry? This would for a position at a dream job doing a dream entry level job.
As long as you clearly show the value you have to offer, how you can make a positive impact on the company, and how your previous accomplishments work toward your advantage with this new position, you shouldn't have a problem outperforming the internal candidate. Show them you are more qualified and that's your golden ticket.
Hi Linda! I got fired today after my first week... the job was different than what was advertised and it required a steep learning curve which the company was unwilling to let me learn from... there were a few red flags (such high turnover/many temps, low morale, and lack of organization)... I was planning on leaving anyway just not this soon... any tips or videos for people in my shoes? This is technically my 2nd career job after university... the training at my first job was totally different so I guess I was used to that....
Sell yourself..okay ..how about when the boss choose someone from the section less educated than you..no skills at all...give them training..then get them promoted..is that professional according to the human resources laws and policy...please someone answer me.
Well not everyone is book educated, some people are hand on learner not too say they can’t read and write but it is fair cause we got different people in society To answer your question it’s professional
And there’s no such thing as less educated.... we’re all made of common sense and like the lord said you don’t need school to make you a wish man... it’s a money making business... it’s been for years and will always be a money making business
I watch your video and without even taking you classes I was able to land my dream job with an excellent benefit package thank you for helping me to sell myself you are the truth. With just the little bit of information I took from your video I was able to find the confidence I needed to land that job.
