You are a lifesaver! My website designer didn't properly set this feature up and I struggled through many videos before finding yours and it was so easy to follow! Many thanks!!!
Great video. Finally found the tutorial that works in setting up Gmail API. Since I wanted to use GMAIL for more than one websites, can I reuse the credentials to other websites/URLs? Do you have another video tutorial for that? Thanks.
For that error we would recommend taking a look at our article below! www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-destination-folder-already-exists-error-in-wordpress/
It should, WPForms also has some recommendations on their documentation page below! wpforms.com/why-your-contact-form-emails-are-going-to-spam-how-to-fix-it/
It would depend on what you mean if you want to change how emails are sent by the plugin then you can get in touch with the support for WP Mail SMTP using the page below: wpmailsmtp.com/contact/
Thank you for the share mate. However, for Location, how do I input the org that (website?). I'm inputting the name of my website (org) but it's not coming up. where is this information supposed to come from? Thank you in advance
Google has slightly modified the interface since this video, you can see the updated method in the article below: wpmailsmtp.com/docs/how-to-set-up-the-gmail-mailer-in-wp-mail-smtp/
For troubleshooting why your emails are going to spam, we would recommend taking a look at our article below: wpmailsmtp.com/wordpress-emails-going-to-spam/
Hi, I'm not able to put it to external on the tab 'OAuth consent screen': I can only choose for 'publish'. External is no option for me. What should I do?
The most likely reason is if you had a type in any of the previous steps, you may want to try editing your settings for the API or creating a new one and entering in the information again.
If you're running into the 403 error on your site we would recommend going through our guide below: www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-the-403-forbidden-error-in-wordpress/

Please check your spam folder and if the emails are not there, we would recommend reachin gout to the support for the SMTP plugin using their forum below: wordpress.org/support/plugin/wp-mail-smtp/
You would need to do that through you have your domain through, we would recommend taking a look at the article below that goes more into what those are and where to edit them: wpmailsmtp.com/dmarc-spf-dkim/
can someone please help me understand where the emails are actually sent to from a form submission? and where is the inbox for the admin email address?
It would depend on the settings for your form plugin. If you did not set the email in the form's settings then it normally would be sent to the admin email address in your WordPress settings. If you have an admin email that is attached to your domain, you would need to check with your hosting provider for where the inbox would be located.
Hey. Unfortunately this doesn't work, because when entering any domain with "/" it gives: "Invalid domain: must be a top private domain" :( (google workspace, but tried on personal google account as well)
Correct you would need to use your domain and not a subdirectory on your domain when setting it up. If you have any trouble you can reach out to the plugin's support and they should be able to assist!
From taking a look, you may want to try the recommendations from the support forum below: wordpress.org/support/topic/wp-mail-smtp-authorization-error-403/
@@wpbeginner sincere thanks for your reply. It was a firewall rule on my web server that was blocking the authentication. I couldn’t figure out the rule id so I temporarily turned the firewall off. Next I authenticated. It’s my app; hence i clicked “allow” to proceed. After authentication was complete, I signed back into my web host and turned the firewall back on.
it is giving me Authorization Error! There was an error while processing the authentication request. Please recheck your Client ID and Client Secret and try again.
If you have correctly copied your client ID and secret you may want to try creating a new project on the chance that there is an issue with the current project you are using.
It would depend on the specific reason in the reason Google has given you, for a starting point you would want to take a look at their page below: support.google.com/cloud/answer/7454865?hl=en
There is no guarantee on how much money a website will make, it would also depend on how you are monetizing your site. While we cannot estimate how much you would make, we would recommend taking a look at our guide below for different ways to make money with your site: www.wpbeginner.com/beginners-guide/make-money-online/
Thank you for your feedback for future videos, for this guide you should be able to go into WP Mail SMTP > Tools and send a test email and if you receive the email then it should be working.
