This tutorial will show you how you can send WhatsApp Messages from Excel using VBA and Selenium.

Hey @Coding Is Fun, I have a question. For Excel WhatsApp BOT you shared, I wanted to add a formula to autopopulate the number and the message to be sent. I realize that every formula I add it adds a ' before the formula. Sorta like '=vlookup(..... Is there anyway to address that?

Hello Sir, thanks for the tutorial, the code works. One thing I needed to know. The message which I try sending has line breaks, as a result it doesn't copy the whole format from the cell rather it copies some parts and then some parts and then again the remaining. Though the messages are sent to the desired number but I wanted them to go together. It doesn't look nice that way. For example this is the message: Hello Sir, This is a Test. Have a nice day. Thank you. Best Regards, Yasser So the above message will be sent to a desired number, that's not an issue but it won't go as one whole chunk but it will go as 5 pieces as it has got 5 line breaks. I don't want to lose the format of my writing and also it doesn't look good this way. Hope you will take out your valuable time and help me to fix this. Thank you

Thanks for your question. So, whenever the users input a new row/message, that the BOT starts automatically? This would be possible with the worksheet change event trigger: Worksheet_Change(ByVal Target As Range) Hope it gives you a starting point to customise the Workbook further :)

Any chance that the Excel file is located in the Google Drive Folder? If so, could you try to move them to a local folder on your computer, e.g. Desktop?

Thanks! Regarding your questions: 1) I had different troubles with the other web drivers. The chrome driver worked best for me. 2) If you download the fully coded out template (pythonandvba.com/whatsappsender), you will find an option to avoid scanning the QR every time you run the BOT. Thank you. I am glad you enjoyed the video. Technically it is possible. Once the first list is finished, you would need to open another Chrome instance (with the second Chrome Profile/WhatsApp Account) to continue with the rest of the list. Yet, this exact feature is not available in my solution (bit.ly/2Ojz9lX). However, as a semi-automated workaround, you could have two Excel Workbooks. In each workbook, you could set the Chrome Profile (as shown in the video below): 👉 ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HYl-gftg9Rw.html In that case, you could, for instance, run the first workbook. Once done, you could trigger the macro from the second Workbook.

Btw, when I used the advanced version for bulk sending messages, after the first invalid number, the script working fine and skip to the next number, but after the second "Invalid phone number", the script do nothing. I wonder if it's just me or something with the script or else?

That said, if the number/name is not available in your contact list, the BOT will already continue with the following number (go to the next row). This is a great beginners tutorial, I like the way it covers how to find and install the requirements and explain what you're doing in each step without skipping options. That level of detail leads to a better understanding and allows one to use this as a base and extend the functionality. I am having a slight bug though. The bot command to send the message doesn't seem to work. [bot.SendKeys (textmessage)] The text section has been highlighted correctly after the bot hits enter [bot.SendKeys (ks.Enter)] I tried sending text instead of the variable and that seems to work by doing this [bot.SendKeys ("test msg")] I also used a msgbox to display the textmessage variable in the loop and it is populated correctly. Any suggestions how to debug this further? Thanks again for a great tutorial

Yes, I kinda know what happened 😅 Sending multiple messages to unsaved contacts is against the WA Terms of Service (the video got removed). Yet, you can also use this version (pythonandvba.com/whatsappsender) to send media and documents. However, this version only works for sending messages to saved contact of yours.

Very good video. Thank you for making this. One question: My whatsapp message has 2 paragraphs, and while sending normal Whatsapp message, I do ALT+Enter to create a new paragraph in the same message. While doing this using excel, I am not able to create this kind of message. When I enter, it will go as a different Whatsapp message instead of one long message. Any suggestions on how I can compose one message which is long and has multiple paragraph?

Hi, thank you for the Great Program / Macro etc. I have a question or two namely is there a way that the sending of the Whatsapp Messages could continue where it left off eg 175 Messages are loaded into Excel but only 55 are sent (usually chrome seems to hang from a time out error) . . . and then you have to delete all the send ones and take the unsent ones to the top again. . . . {Error Message as follows: Run-time error '26': UnexpectedAlertOpenError (Session info: chrome=91.0)
