I used to have to painstakingly adjust my mic audio to each game I played every time I recorded which was absurdly irritating. You just saved me 1 hour before each stream THANK YOU! subbed liked and shared!
Good stuff man. Do you know if there's a way to do this on a dual PC setup? My goxlr is in my gaming PC and it's all routed as 1 single audio channel to my stream PC (where OBS is). I'm thinking that I may need to switch my goxlr to my stream PC but was wondering if there was a way without switching everything
Hi! I use Wondershare Filmora. When I do as you suggest here, it sounds amazing when listening/watching back on that program. When I upload to RU-vid however, aside from my introduction, there's simply no sound on the game portion I am playing (which I have set to Desktop Audio). Do you know why this might be? Thanks in advance!
Just a little note on this. Most media players can only play one audio track, so if you are just testing in say VLC you may think the recording hasn't picked up your mic! However if you drop it in to Resolve and check you should have two audio tracks and see that it has indeed recorded both successfully.
Hey I'm streaming on kick and I was wondering if I can have my vods to have a separate game and mic audio. I don't record my gameplay on obs, I just download the vod after I stream.
So I’m at the audio tab, and all options are disabled and will not let me select anything else. I’m running a PS5 to El Gato. I can record video and I get audio with the yeti, but no game audio.
How do you fix game audio being way too loud in recordings??? I've perfected my mic sound but when I actually record with obs and play back the recording the game is about 10x louder than my mic.....there doesn't seem to be a way to test this in real time
@@CpawsMusic I ended up finding a video on how to set compression and upward compression on your game capture and desktop audio so that the game audio lowers when you speak and that seems to be the best fix so far since my editing software currently can't pick up separated audio tracks without a video converter . I seem to have mostly fixed it but I still don't have a way to reliably split audio unless I want to download another editing software or get that video converter. Since I paid for my editing software I might as well use what I have and adapt
heyo, i made what you said, but now my videos: they seem grainy and drop in FPS, I don't know what the problem is, if it is the "NVidia NVENC H.264" video encoder or because my audio is now 320 Bit, or because it is now MP4 and no longer MKV, or if it was simply a "Occasional Glitch" and it won't happen again. If you have a solution to the problem I would be delighted to hear it (The video are not in this channel, i let this channel to my little brother to make his videos)
Hey man quick question ! How do I record 4k gameplay so I can upload it to RU-vid ? I play on Xbox series X . I also have a Mac and El Gato 4k X capture card ???
I can't seem to get this to work.... after I record and drop it into the editing software the Mic audio is still missing. this would be a disaster after a long session...
@@CpawsMusic I double checked and made sure the audio tracks were set up like you did in the video. Im using Movani editor because well I paid for it. So I might as well use it. It has a much nicer interface and is stupid easy to use. Back when I started my first let's play Wukong on my channel I had searched DaVinci Resolve but unfortunately the download link for DaVinci took me to the mavani instead since they apparently bought the add slot input DaVinci in the link name. I thought it was just a new name for DaVinci Resolve so I went through and got a lifetime membership so now I'm stuck with it
Turns out my setup CANNOT separate Mic and Desktop audio.... My mic ALWAYS triggers the desktop audio and separating them does not fix this... disabling desktop audio also disable my Mic in recording. Any filters applied the desktop also affect the Mic. Also, with desktop disabled game capture wont pic up game audio....I'm at a loss
Would this be the same with CapCut ? If I drag the mp4 video into CapCut would it automatically be both audio tracks that I can have CapCut sync my camera footage to automatically and boom have my mic audio, gameplay audio, gameplay, and my camera footage? If so W video please somebody get back to me I’m waiting on my set up in the mail so I can’t test things out right now
Hi, so it does pick up on them, and it'll let you pick one track to use. You can swap between them, but only pick one. I plan on just exporting both audio files in Capcut and then adding them back together.
Hey, I am an upcoming streamer and currently in college and I am trying to set up my set up correctly. I watched your other video that explained how to be able to play copy right music without getting it saved to your livestreams. I did the audio mixer on obs and is now wondering how would I connect my wave xlr / wave link software to obs and how would it look with my audio mixer already being set up. I am trying to have the process be as smooth as possible and have everything connected to one another. I really need help and have been looking for a video that could help.
Any idea why I can hear everything in my headphones when I use a mic. Like even to the point of someone can be 2 rooms away and can hear everything they are saying or doing when I have my mic settings on low for everything??
Great Video! Question is there a way to record your game play audio and mic audio separately while streaming? Because at least to my knowledge (Which isn't much because I'm new to Streaming and OBS lol) you have to have audio track 1 selected for both to be able to stream
@@CpawsMusic oh when I tried it it didn't work lmfao ill have to give it another go! I'm assuming I just made some issue along the way but theoretically if followed correctly it should record my audio and game play separately even while I'm streaming so when I'm done it'll be separate in premiere pro?
@@CpawsMusic Upon trying it again I was able to get it working! You are the only channel I have seen that actually went in depth and showed how to actually do it! I honestly can't thank you enough this has been the main reason I haven't been streaming as much but now that I have this fixed (Or at least hope its fixed) I can start pushing to grow my channel! Genuinely thanks so much!!!
@@CpawsMusichow would u add just discord to this setup and for the headset im wearing i don't need that to be set to anything through obs or desktop to hear it correct thanks
As always, thanks for making these videos. I would really love to see a video on how to set up OBS for multiple mics. What I mean by that is, if I am playing a video game and I am using Steam Chat and I have two other people in game with me I want to record myself and the two friends so when re watching the video or when I go to edit, I can hear all three mics instead of just hearing myself on play back. Do you know how to set up Steam Chat while using OBS studio? I have tried to look it up, RU-vid it, Google it, so forth and so on but when I try to find what I am actually looking for, I don't get the results. For example, lets say You, me, and Shadow went in and played Once Human or any game, and we all had Steam Chat how can I get all persons to be recorded on separate tracks for editing? Sorry for repeating it, but I want to make sure I am asking and explaining my question to you correctly. But if you could make tutorial for something like that I would very much appreciate it. If you already have a video on it please just link it. I have been watching for quite some time now and have scrolled through your videos but not sure if you have one like this. Well anyway, thanks Cody, be well and keep up the good work.
Honestly not sure if you could do that just from your end. You might have to have them record their audio separately and send you the file. There might be a solution out there but I haven't come across it :/
@@SynystarYT Because I used Streamlabs to record my screen in order to record OBS Studio to make this video and the MKV Remux feature is NOT included in Streamlabs
@@CpawsMusic i had that turned off but I had clicked the audio input capture instead of audio output capture under sources, I think that solved my problem
I know this question doesn’t even make sense for this video but when I try to set up a subscriber pop up, I’m getting them, but it’s not doing it for ever subscribers I get I thought you’re more likely to reply on a newer video
