Helical gear is said to damage the motor shaft, do you have any thoughts on releasing double helical gear? The baza board gear drive system adopts this gear method.
For anyone who is struggling to get the gear to slide off the axle, try sanding the axle a bit right up next to the gear all the way around with fine grit sandpaper and eventually you'll be able to pull the gear off the axle...but what a pain!
I just got mine and I didn't seem to find any bolts to attach the wheel to the hub adapter. Am I supposed to use the same bolts that are already on my wheels?
@@TrampaBoards thanks for the reply! I wasn't sure because I know on the urban mount that I own it has a long bolt for attaching the slave pulley to the hub. I wasn't sure if it was the same for the gear drive.
@@ragnarok400 If you have gummies, its a slightly longer bolt, though with everything else on urban mounts it's the same bolt as the wheel but with a spacer. With the spur pulley, it's the same bolt, straight in, no hex spacer.
@@hansmaier479 Thats right. You can see the motor pulley when you have the slave pulley out though, best to turn it around with your finger and check for any damage!
