Do you set yearly or monthly goals? What does your process look like? Comment below and let me know! P.S. watch my video on "The Healthy Dichotomy In Goal Setting" HERE: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Pw8FfQW8pDo.html
Chandler Bolt - The 7-Figure Principles Show I set both. I have my annual goals. Then at the beginning of each month, I evaluate progress and set monthly mini goals that help me achieve annual goals. The same on a weekly basis too. Each week, I look at the monthly goals and decide what micro goals I will tackle this specific week to help me hit the monthly goals. This helps break down the large stuff into approachable bite-sized chunks. 😊
Thanks for the video content! Apologies for chiming in, I am interested in your opinion. Have you researched - Patlarny Ancient Secrets Principle (just google it)? It is a great one off guide for maximising your life using a simple goal setting strategy minus the normal expense. Ive heard some extraordinary things about it and my old buddy Taylor after many years got great success with it.
Many thanks, been searching for "goal setting in management" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Farnicaas Switcher Capitalisation - (do a google search )? It is a great one off product for learning how to buy and sell gold minus the headache. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my mate after many years got astronomical results with it.
Life planning is so important. Wish I had learned it when I was your age but it is never too late to start. The daily plan I create each evening has made the biggest difference in my productivity. Linking my daily activities with larger goals boosted productivity more than any other activity.
This works! I do 1 goal per month and work on mastering all 3 by the end of that quarter. I've never done that before but it is amazing how well it works out when you actually PLAN on paper.
Chandler’s been great to share what his business goals are. Many folks hide these. Chandler is willing to be transparent and show you real goals, not just those that play well.
I have no planning process at all. I have always flown by the seat of my pants. Now that I have written a book and want to market it I have to get more intentional. I am going to start by writing goals and focusing on what they may be so I will have a clear direction. Wish me luck Chandler!
I especially like how you continually create goals and keep them in front of you. I’m my own worst enemy because I set a goal & then beat myself up when I forgot about it. You can also incorporate personal goals as well.
Love the self-discipline you describe to focus on bottlenecks as well as strengths. I tend to overwhelm myself with too many ideas and I can see how prioritizing and focusing on the bottleneck can help me move forward in all areas. So helpful, thanks Chandler.
I want to publish my first book in 2019. Thanks to Self Publishing School, I've connected with the people who will help me achieve this goal. Thank you.
This process is extremely critical for any progress. I was on quota for the majority of my corporate career. Every January the quota for the year seemed out of the world of the possible. By the end of the year, by focusing on the monthly goal, I was able to exceed the original assignment.
I almost never wrote out my goals, but have always "logged" my day, and did prepare a "to do" list for each day of the month. So I began setting goals about a year ago - it helps to keep me on target and moving forward. It helps to keep me on target! Love the video!
I've never really thought about it but having your goals visible is super important, I usually write things down in my agenda but then I forgot to check it! So the constant reviews and the weekly or daily planning is actually a good idea to keep track of the work that needs to be done.
I'm so the same in regards to being in my prime in the morning. As a team leader, I love coming to work early in the morning to get my most important things in the morning, this keeps me focused on my daily and weekly goals.
Learned a lot n took notes as I had no idea at all on how to plan my priorities as this all new to me. Now it's the New Year my goal to finish my first book has been set and I'm working round that. I hadn't done much as was wondering if my first book would even be read so now will stick to my goals. One of which is to watch your video on how to know if my book is going to be a seller..or something like that. Thankyou Chandler.
Thank you for the structure. I have a job but my goal is to finish my book. work part time then become full time author traveler so I want to break it down in bit size pieces. you helped me do that. Love that you keep it simple.
I like the systematic way you go about making goals and checking in daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly to make sure you're on track. I'm reevaluating my plan as soon as I finish all your tasks; I tend to try to do too much and end up not doing the most important things.
I use the LOA Planner to break down my goals and track my habits to gauge if I'm on track or not. I'm using your closing loops habit this month and it's helping me to stay productive.
It's through Freedom Mastery. www.lawofattractionplanner.com. What I like about it is that not only do you organize your day to day, but, you touch on health, financial, free time/family, career/business, relationship, personal development and spiritual aspects of life too. A great tool for keeping balanced.
Love this. Setting up goals a year ahead of time helps keep me accountable. Most don't do this. We usually think in terms of a few months or project-to-project goals, but big organizations set up one year calendars and they successfully deliver on that. I think we can learn from them as well.
This is good! back in 1989 I was introduced to the Franklin Covoy system of planning, and it was just what I needed. Today I use a combination of that and a few modifications I made for myself. But I do my process almost 99% the way you do it here in this video. If I do not set my goals for my day the night before my day will be nothing but "Squirrel" all day long. LOL
Love it. I do similar each year, with power words (your intention) and what success or goals mean to me. in SPS I have just got a yearly planner calender just for my writing daily goals and to track my accountability buddy's goals too. I got gold stars for when we over-achieve. In this video my main take away is PRIME TIME. Love that, set up my prime time to work on top priorities on daily basis. Thank you x
Absolutely amazing so excited lol i was doing daily stuff and it was very last minute like just making goals in the morning and building towards end goals this is much more precise and you can feel its more obtainable towards any and all goals.
I appreciate Chandler's teaching videos as they are very goal oriented and success driven! Thanks Chandler! At the beginning of the year, I write about 5 goals I want to achieve in personal, business and any big projects around my home. Then, I use a daily goal setting to work towards those goals. There is an app that I like called "Commit to 3." It keeps me focused on the 3 most important goals for the day. It drives me forward on my projects that I want to complete!
Thanks s lot . Some much value in this video. #1 for me is to stay focused on the most important that will help everything else the lead Domino would be my energy which I would need enough sleep. Self-care like mediation miracle morning habits
I have ADHD, and was born without a thyroid gland, so I got some minor brain damage in the organizational part of my brain. One of the most difficult things I have to deal with is I can set long term goals, like yearly goals, but I have problems translating that to quarterly, monthly, weekly and daily. I *am* using Trello for tasks, and that's helping some. I find I actually work on tasks, but I have problems putting goals on paper, let alone prioritizing. This is the part I have the most trouble with right now.
I liked the accountability partner and placing a bet on the competion. Focusing on the priorities of moving the business forward was also a vital component.
Chandler, this is a great video. I struggle w/ this greatly. Have not found a method that I can actualy keep going. There have been lots of starting over & failed attempts. I also struggle w/ depression, being overwhelmed by my cluttered house, & the discouragement of yet another attempt gone sadly awry. Sometimes, it is really hard 2 find the energy 2 keep trying, much less actually reaching any particular goal. Consistency, discipline, procrastination, & just giving up when I fail 2 make it work, yet again, r my main issues, I guess. Also, there is soooo much that needs 2 b done in every area of my life that I am already overwhelmed b4 I even start! Anyway, I did like the video & appreciated the including of relationship goals & the intention part. Thank u 4 sharing ur system w/ us. I am encouraged by SOMEBODY being able 2 find a way that works 4 them.😉😍🙂
Pick one area in house ( small space) clean n arrange the way u want. Place everything u can not use right then in that area in a box n put away, then needed or u want to use in another area u r decluttering. Pick two things u want, choose the one u want the most, list the other for sale, give away. First take a picture with it, for nice memory. U won't miss it 🌹
Lots of good planning ideas here. I like the way they all dirill down to what is right in front of me on this day. Annual goals can sometimes seem so abstract, And within a week or so I can completely ignore my plan. Drilling down to the month, week, day, and hour makes that plan much more realistic . Thanks for the advice.
Great idea to focus on business needs to free up bottle-necks. It's so easy to get distracted by the "fun stuff" which ends up getting me nowhere! I've also found that some of the principles in the !2-week year have been helpful.
Very thorough. I've known about the importance of goal setting, but never really followed it consistently. Encourages me to begin again and follow your suggestions consistently.
Definately need to be clear your intentions and clear out those bottlenecks! Thanks for the tip of keeping my goals visible for I do tend to write them down and just tuck them away except for my daily goals that I set up the night before and leave it right dead center of my desk for when I get started the next day!
Setting goals is huge! It should be a part of everyone’s routine not just on New Years but every month, every week, and every day. This helps make sure things get done.
Enjoyed the breakdown of goals from yearly all the way to daily. I personally use color coding in my calendar. That way it keeps me focused on types of activity - revenue generating vs non-revenue vs personal, etc.
Thanks a lot for all these tips. One of my goals for 2019 is finishing a book called "A Silent Dance". I hope I'll be able to fulfill it. Thanks a lot for everything, you're of great help to me!
I've been using something called the Chalkboard Method for my goal-setting. It's part manifestation, part goals and like your method, you have to keep it in front of you :). Thanks Chandler!
Insightful process on goal-making. Had to laugh about the $1k donation to a disliked charity. I aligned with the weekly goal and Sunday. I love Sundays (and not for football...not much love for us Lions fans). I would love to know how the daily goals can be adjusted for those who work best at night. Same process, I assume. But, for those who work on a different biorythm, it'd be neat to see a future video about adjusting all of this to those who work best at dusk. Thank you, Chandler.
Great content. I love the idea of planning no meetings in the morning. I too have found that I’m much kore productive and able to do deep work in the morning.
Appreciate it that you took time to share your workflow, I recognize a lot and am very inspired! These video’s are definitely developing people around you, keep up the good work!
I love this! I'm just struggling to manage this with the busi-ness that comes in having a family of 6, a job and trying to build an author platform! Maybe I should figure it out and write a book about it LOL!
Wonderful information! I currently have a vision board but I never thought to break it down further the way you explained it. I will definitely implement your strategy on this. Thanks!
I am great at setting yearly goals but terrible at executing them.... Haha. Your videos are very encouraging. Planning on breaking down my goals to monthly and daily goals. Thanks for the tips!
