Did you have a Google Nest Thermostat? Agent Lee will walk you through setup and help you with a few simple tips. You’ll need your Google Nest Thermostat, a small Phillips or flathead screwdriver, a tablet or phone, and your network and Google logins. She’ll be using a Google Pixel, but your steps may vary depending on what smart device you use to complete your install. It’s also important to ensure that your HVAC system is compatible with a Google Nest Thermostat before you begin - just check the link below. And if you’re not comfortable at any point, stop right away and call an electrician or check and see if Geek Squad can do the install for you.

The Nest Thermostat is normally powered by your heating and cooling system when wired into it. The thermostat uses the 2 AAA batteries as a backup or to supplement power if the HVAC system can't provide enough power.

The Google Nest Thermostat can be connected to your Nest account via the website at home.nest.com. This site can be accessed from a computer connected to the Internet.

This is often caused when the wiring to your A/C isn't getting a proper connection to the Y1 terminal. We recommend removing the wire to ensure there's a full half-inch of exposed wire to properly connect.

Hi, I need to change the WiFi, do I have to reset back to factory? I don’t see a list of networks on the app or wall face plate…😒

To confirm, you're not seeing any other networks when you try the following? 1. Press the thermostat ring to bring up the Quick View menu. 2. Select Settings. 3. Turn the ring and select Network. 4. Select the new Wi-Fi network. If not, resetting to the factory default settings will be a good way to start troubleshooting.

@@BestBuy thanks! First you have to delete device from Google home app. Then reset the thermostat back to factory. Then let Google app find it. Once found you will then have to go through the installation process again. Only then will you be able to set up your new WiFi. I wish it was easy as going to settings and doing a network search, but that option is not available. Thanks

If the app is having trouble with the QR code, try setting up again, but tap Continue without scanning. That should allow you to enter the camera's serial number manually.

For most Google Nest smart thermostats, you can turn the outer dial on the thermostat to bring up the menu and rotate to the OFF option. Check your instruction manual for details specific to your individual model.

How can I remove the voice (Smart Speaker) feature from my Google Nest Learning thermostat? I do NOT want to command the thermostat by voice. But,I still want the app on my phone so I can control/monitor the temperature remotely.

Honestly, this is WAAAY better than the info on the Google site. My problem is that I don't have a C wire, which is not addressed in this video...

In most cases, your Google Nest Thermostat will work without a C wire as it can power itself off the existing connections. If your system needs a C wire, check out the Google Nest Power Connector as a DIY solution that can be installed easily: bby.me/b2v49d.

The moment it asked my precise location and account info, i returned it. Who knows that stuff has a hidden camera and speaker and is listening to your conversation. I will physically change my temperature but no thanks

Worst consumer product since the lawn dart. Nest thermostat randomly requires two-step authentication and/or a pin just to change the temp. Thermostat often disappears completely. Kludgy UI. Honeywell is much better.
