Hello I just found your content and love it. I'm SO confused though. I am very much a beginner and I can not seem to even locate the "sign up for Instagram shopping" option on my business account. What am I doing wrong? I'm so frustrated. Thank you!
I'm confused...you say "with or without Shopify", but later in the video you mention that you need to already have an e-commerce site. Do you need an e-commerce or not?
great video! But instagram isn't allowing me to create the shop, instead asking me to sign up using "Checkout on website" as the checkout method. But when I go to fb commerce manager to do this, the checkout method is by default "checkout with messaging" and I cannot change it. Please help!!!
For the Hootsuite auto-posting to social media, you mean like when I get a new product I post to shopify and it can auto-post it to social platforms? What about all the other stuff like shipping size weight, tags, description, etc? Does it do everything automatically or just like set up templates that you finish and post?

hmmm! are you sure your account is a business account? (not a creator account). I just updated my app and it says "set up shop now" but it's still under settings > business
@@HootsuiteLabs I am having this same issue. I’ve linked my Facebook page with a shop catalog and everything however I still am not given the option to “set up instagram shopping”

Hello, I got approved on IG days ago but the catalog still isn't connecting under the shopping no inventory is listed blank. I tried a few times the steps. It's fine in FB shop no problem. Does anyone know how to fix it?

What do you mean by "you should be in an eligible country"? Shall I be logged in using a Facebook account that was created in an eligible country? Or shall I be physically located in an eligible country? Does VPN work in this case? Your quick response will be highly appreciated.

I've been trying for 3 days and still can't set up my Instagram shop. The meta business page is so hard to navigate and it's driving me insane. I already have Instagram and Facebook set up as businesses, I have linked them both and linked everything to Shopify and it still won't let me set up a shop >:(
I have a few questions; If I am in Europe, can I use the facebook business catalogue aswell? On my facebook business page, when I click "set up shop/get started > select "create shop" it leads me to a "sorry this page isnt working" page.

Hello, thank you for the helpful set by step. I was approved! Unfortunately it won't allow me to upload any product photos. Even those that are 500x500 pixels. I tried restarting, and also reinstalling but nothing is working. What can I do?

Hi Denise! Yup, that's product tagging - once you've got your shop and product catalogue set up you can tag your products just like you'd tag a friend. We're going to cover that in part 2, next week!
@@HootsuiteLabs I’ve seen people have a shop of just links to items from other brands. They don’t actually own the items, they’re just links in their shop. Not a link in a post. Idk if this makes any sense 😂 it’s basically like LTK, but in IG shops
@@ItsDIYDenise Oh! that sounds like Instagram's affiliate marketing tool. If you have access to it, you'll find it in your professional dashboard under "Set Up Affiliate". But FYI it's still being tested, so it's not widely available yet! :(

Damned depressing :( After 6 hours of finding my way through multiple tutorials, I can't find the 'business' tab on my business insta account, so can't get to anywhere to set up my insta shop. Even though Insta kindly advised me that I qualify for one.
