In this Hobby 365 video I will show you how to set up an R/C drift Gyro. Special thanks to V Hopkins For his question and the inspiration for this video. I hope this helps you out with your trouble shooting.
another great and helpful video. Im in the process of setting up a drift car and will be using my flysky noble nb4. I will likely put the gyro on the channel three rotary but the suggestion of 0 might be helpful.
Sounds good. Just keep in mind that if you put the gyro setting on a rotary knob and your rotary knob has a hard end point (meaning it stops turning at some point) if it gets bumped when your radio is traveling then that setting will be changed when you turn on your model. I prefer to set it up on switches so that it only changes when you want it too.
Liked and subscribed🤘❤👏 Been 3 days looking for a good gyro turorial on youtube..and finally you showed me what i needed. Also yoy use same car and spektrum as i do. So easy way to set up🤘. Thanks!¡!
Great vidya. Im new to drifting with a MST 2.0. My question... can you use the LSDX gyro on a spektrum tx/rx? It seems like I can. The oem MST controller is... well... yea.
Very good info. I thought that the gyro had a negative gain and a positive gain that in will change the return to center action in some way. I am new at rc drifting. I started using the spektrum SR6100ATrx with gyro and they worked good for me at first since it have traction control and stability in separated channels. As I got the hang of it I stop using the traction control channel of it only the stability but the gyro on this rx is heading hold until you correct the heading and the movement is fast and shaky . I no longer use the gyro of the spektrum rx installed a powerhobby g3 and now when transitioning is very smooth. And when setting up the TX DX5C saw the pos and neg % and try it both and work the same I thought that something was wrong. Thanks again. If you have the time check my vid on the channel of my 2 mst cars with the spektrum RXs.
As you found out the AVC is not a great drifting set up. It is really made for general bashing where smooth transition is as much a priority as anything else. I am glad my video helped you out. and I will take a look at your video when I have the time.
@@Hobby365 Sir this has been very helpful. I bought an MST 2.0 RMX AMG and paired it with my DX5C using a simple Spektrum SR3100 rx. Your video was spot on. The only issue I cannot get to show right is the Travel or you call the Servo I followed it to a tee. I can set it to zero but I still hear the clicks but no number move as it moves from negative to 0 which I cannot see but hear. Likewise, on the MST gyro for no gyro action, it is -100...so 0 is just in the middle not off. I can live with it like you I would like to see a 0-100 and no neg or the hidden negative that stay 0 until it gets to the positive numbers.... Thx again
Great video and makes sense especially with the set up I have. I was wondering if the negative and positive percent you adjusted may work with the gain on the yokomo v4?
@@Hobby365 I’m having a problem where the gyro doesn’t respond and I also don’t have a digital controller. I’m using a car that isn’t really meant for drifting (mini e revo) but I can’t figure out why it won’t work. Any suggestions?
if you have one like mine that has a single wire for the singal make sure its plugged up where its making contact with the S and not the negative terminal. My onisiki gyro was doing the same thing and i had it plugged it backwards. I could get it to work by adjusting the pot knob on the gyro but not the radio until I fixed the reversed wire.
Spud wrench is correct. If you see a blinking light it means you don't have all the cables plugged in and cannot adjust the gyro from your transmitter.
