Thanks so much! for years I've wanted a working LCD screen! thank you for helping me with this video! many thanks! I've also found a way to put different text on the screen, look at the code, it will say ("Hello World") then just change the text. like so here ---> ("Your text here") then whatever you put in the code it will say! just a quick tip. thank you! 👍 😀
Thanks a lot Thianesh INDIAN AERO! I do have a potentiometer but your suggestion to move my pin to ground worked regardless. My screen was blank at first, but I replaced one of the 5 volt connections to my potentiometer with a ground connection and it displays "hello, world!" now. It has a blinking text cursor, although the text doesn't blink. Not sure if it's 100% working right now, but a huge improvement.
my lcd panel is only glowing in green light and I am not able to even see any blocks inside the lcd..after uploading the code , nothing is being changed on the lcd .. can someone help me?
Its your choice, you can even do it in vertical lines as well where the led has been connected, check a tutorial on "current flow in breadboard" and you'll understand

I replaced one of my 5v pins to my potentiometer with a ground pin. The LCD screen displays "hello, world!" now. it doesn't blink though, so no promises your project will be perfect if you try what I tried. Good luck!
