Direct communication between a ABB ACH 580 VFD and your building automation system can be achieved using BACnet communication protocol. You must first configure your ABB VFD to allow communication on your network.
The first step is to select the correct communication protocol within the drive as well as give it a unique network address and instance number. If you are using an ABB VFD with an Eclipse Bypass, the configuration will be done on the bypass itself, not the VFD.
