This past year, we had a record year for butterfly surprizes and to top the list was finding colonies of the amethyst hairstreak, Chlorostrymon maesites. In. Once we captured a few live females for egg laying, now the trick it to get these tiny little butterflies to feel comfortable enough to lay eggs. We did it!
