APA Style 7th edition now separates student papers from professional papers and there are two cover page formatting. This is how to set up a student paper in the current edition of APA style

@@emerkens8008 if the assignment tells you to write it using 7th edition format, u don’t need to rewrite the title on the 2nd page. Only headings are required for each page in 7th edition APA format so u could jump right in the second page and begin with “Introduction” and center it

So writing an abstract isn't exactly mandatory to do then?

Well, it depends. Always check with your professor if your paper is a college assignment. However, APA style states that it is not required for student papers. Some professors may still want one to be written.
