I've used USB tethering with my PC and phone in the past because of storm outages of my regular internet however recently I tried to tether and although I can turn the feature on in my phone Windows does not see a additional Network showing up in the network neighborhood like it used to.

I purchased dual band router today, but for my fate I didn't check whether my laptop supports 5ghz or not and it did not 😭 thought of buying tp link ac600 nano wireless dual band usb adapter which costs ₹950. So I thought of usb tethering and I'm easily getting 90mbps ( my internet connection is 100mbps)

Yeah it ain't working. The PC connects to the hotspot as wifi instead of usb tether even though i have the tether on.

Brother, I've a issue that when I'm connected as a USB Tethering Internet the laptop get connected as a Ethernet 2 but after a certain point there is a drop of 2-3 min of Internet on laptop. Can you help me out regrading this?

For Samsung smartphone, writing scripts can help. In Xiaomi phone, this can be done by changing "Default USB Configuration" in developer mode. I hope it helps ☺️
