I’m a hookah diver and have given, “Steve,” the owner of Gator Gill, all of my business. Super, great guy who sells and stands behind his top quality merchandise!! Thank you for everything, Steve!!
The air flowing to the regulator becomes harder to breath. You should always become familiar with your equipment prior to using as a safety precaution.
+SEXY VIDS Thank you.  Hookah diving is very easy to do.  It's a great way to get novice divers ready for SCUBA.  You must use oil less compressor's in conjunction with 100% STAMPED AIR BREATHING pvc air lines.  We help take all the guess work out with our Gator GIll diving system.   Keep us for your favorites we will be doing may more videos and will go into detail how to care for you hookahs. Our next one will show you how to properly float a Hookah .
Hey Lester, Yes this is similar because it works of the same principal of delivering surface air to the divers through a air hose. Check out our website for more information at www.gatorgillunit.com
How does that regulator stay on your mouth? ? and do you breath back into the regulator before getting your next breath. Any suggestions as I brought one new but sadly it comes with no instructions. Thanks Darryl
Hey Darryl if you are using the reg for hookah style diving you should be using a carabiner clip on your hose that should clip to your trunks or weight belt. The reg ultimately stays in place by applying pressure with your teeth then you just draw air from it. If you don't prefer the mouthpiece that came on it you can always order another style and simply change it out . We dive for many hours at a time so we changed ours to the long bite that you can shape to you're teeth. Hope this info is helpful. Tresa owner of Gator Gill LLC
Gator Gill LLC Tresa Short Yes I am using it as a hookah style diving so thankyou for your reply. I have one more question can I use the air compressor to fill up my scuba tanks that I have as well? ??
Darryl Bavington no, all of hookah style diving is surface air breathing. Scuba tanks are filled with filtered with high pressure Class D air. That's why it is very important to put filters on any hookah system.
You are hard-tethering your air hose to your weight belt, and I think this is a bad idea. If you need to drop the weight in an emergency it will fall and rip the regulator out of your mouth. Best case scenario is that you have the weight on the hose and have to swim it all the way up because you can't drop it without fine motor skills involved.
+Victor Serraventoso Hey Victor you can go to the website www.gatorgillunit.com and go to the tab that says package prices you can chose different lengths of lines and also with hose reels or without. Once you decide you can send me your zip code so we can calculate shipping I will also need an email that we can send you a PayPal secured invoice. Once you pay your invoice we ship USPS priority which takes typically 2-3 business days. We only ship within the US. Or if you are local to Plant City Fl. just give us a call and we will be more then happy to show you the equipment and let hear the compressor run and see it in person if you would like . Which ever works for you just let us know. (813) 857-1676 Tresa :)
+Lester Boyer It is similar as with all Hookahs on the market. The same basic concept of pumping surface air to the diver thru an airline. Our system does not tie both divers into 1 hose. Each diver has their own independent airline to make the dive more versatile. Our system has a reserve air tank to allow the compressor to cycle and cause less battery drain. Check out our other videos and remember there are always two divers on 1 system during filming.
We at Gator Gill personally tests dive all of our products and accessories at Florida's Weekie Wachee river before advertising them on our website www.gatorgillunit.com Todays demonstration is at lake Thonotosassa Fl.. We believe a picture or a video in this case tells more about our product and lays to rest any false claims of it's competitors. We use what we sell and it really works. Let Gator Gill get you back in the water without breaking the bank.
+Mazda rx7 YOU CAN IF YOU WANT. OUR BLUE REEF 2ND STAGE REGULATOR IS PERFECT FOR A BC. WE PERSONALLY DON'T BECAUSE MOST OF OUR DIVES ARE 30 FEET OR LESS WITH LITTLE TO NO CURRENT.
hehehe , in Newfoundland a very warm water temp is 15 deg C . A thick wet suit helps but a dry suit is normal. Winter diving the temp can get to ) deg C. Is this thing good for cold water diving ? Can I use my Poseidon regulator
+Mazda rx7 Hypothermia would be your biggest factor. Hookah pumps surface air to the diver. I have heard of people using them but probably wouldn't recommend it for safety reasons. You may end up staying under water too long or breath too cold of air. 50 degree f should be the coldest water I would dive in and I would time my dive just like scuba.
