Thanks. This is better than virgin's site which doesn't give any info. This is Fiber optic to the home? Does the fiber cable connect to the back of the modem?
Hi, sorry for the late response. Yes it should be connected to your modem the cable so it will work. My internet is regular not fiber but it works pretty well.
@@shirleydato2956 Is it a coax cable to comes to your house and the coax connects to your modem? Because in some cases, the technology is called fiber to the neighborhood. The fiber ends at a certain distribution box outside and from there, it is a coax cable that comes to your home, to your modem.
@@louistournas120 yes already installed at home the coax cable plate. The white on on the wall on the video. And they will send to you the modem with the coax cable or wire to connect with the coax cable plate and modem using cable.
@@10.5Mviews You are right. It looks like at 1 min 32 s, I can see the whitish fiber cable going into the modem, at the bottom right of the modem. Sorry, I was not at all familiar with fiber technology when I first posted.
In that case you need to call Virgin mobile to book an appointment to fix your issue. Sometimes, there’s a wires that got broken that’s why internet is not working.
I recently received this box same you have in the video from Virgin, ''call me Valerie''. Virgin did not inform me that they were going to send me anything, this just sat at my door. What l'm I supposed to do with it and what is the purpose of this Valerie device? Will appreciate you response. Thanks for the step by step teaching, it is easy especially for those of us who have difficulties with tech set ups etc.
It’s a regular speed. But works well. Because only me and my cousin using it. So is not bad for 2 people users. We also have 2 phones each, 2 tv’s, laptops and computers using at the same time and Nintendo as well. I like virgin.
the i icon lights red is that good thing or bad thing on my modem - Virgin Plus What are those 3 lighting icons one looks like an i ? 🤔and and other looks like key?🤔
You don’t need to pay bell fiber. Just apply at virgin mobile through online, phone or in person. They will send to you the modem and everything to your house and it’s free application.
I was with Rogers for years then they started charging so much, I switched to Virgin, Virgin is so reasonable I couldn't believe it, I was paying $36 for my phone internet with Virgin. I bought the cellphone from Virgin, very good phone. I was paying Rogers over $135 per month home internet only, then they started charging more and more, i am the only user, the last bill from Rogers I paid was $160 plus, that was when I left Rogers. Now I am with Virgin both my phone and home internet are less than $90 with tax it comes up to $107, with promotion you will pay even less. Virgin has been very good to me. Virgin is very reasonable you can negotiate with them and ask for promotional deals, they are very good and they answer calls promptly. Their staff are very polite, respectful and kind. Until I find someone better than Virgin I will stay with them till death do us part. Try them.
You should call Virgin mobile customer service. They will book you an appointment and technician will come to your house to fix it. It’s free of charge.
You are not doing it correctly since the outlet was not installed properly. That thin fiber optic cable is not made to take it outside directly into the modem. That cable is to fragile for that. There should be a coupling installed in the slot inside of the wall outlet. Then you plug in a thicker fiber cable between the outlet and the modem.
call the toll free number given on booklet. I had same issue, now they are sending a technician in a week. Mine earliest technician availability was after a week, your's might differ
