I've done this a few times. And am doing it again tomorrow (Pixel 6a from a Samsung A Series) It's always worked seamlessly, but I'm pretty sure that, although the Apps came down from the backup. I'm not sure that the individual settings (and passwords) did and I had to sign into a lot of Apps like Amazon, Giff Gaff, my Banking App etc. I'm pretty sure that I had to set Nova Launcher and Swiftkey (both of which, I love) up from scratch. Also, I use a basic "Notes" App which contains a lot of info, which didn't go across and I went through a very laborious process of copying and emailing each individual "note" over to the new phone and "copying" them back into the App! 😉😉 That said, maybe it'll be different, this time! 🙏🙏 For most things, contacts etc. etc. You can't beat the Google ecosystem!

thanks a lot . i was counting on this to work nd of course it didnt. I followed exactly and all that happened was I ws prompted to set up all the Motorola featuresh but Google/android did not restore a DAMN thing. So since this didnt work on initially starting the phone, is there a way to do it now.?? Isnt there a restore option somewhere???.

Upgrading from Nokia 6.1 to Galaxy A02. Can Google One backup (of the Nokia 6) be used to migrate the data? When I sign into the Google One Account on the Galaxy, I am not seeing the Nokia backup.

Trying to set one up and my brother did something to it I can't slide down to see the quick select panel to turn off airplane mode. So how did I fix this? Restarting don't change I've tried

It gets confusing because you are backing up on your old phone but then it becomes unclear at which point you switch to the new phone.

What caused my entire screen to flip. Example: time is located on top right of screen when it was on left. Battery percentage is left when it was on right. Etc.
