I would’t recommend randomly working with Deities without researching or studying His/Her background first. Each deity is different, some are stricter than others in their worship.

Deities are creations of consciousness and energy. Why are you worshiping them? You’re a God! I’m not gonna say that’s bad entirely. I like the prayer you did. It gave me a sense of assurance and peace. You are definitely a spiritual tuned person. But I feel you and many are forsaking the conscious element and adopting dogma. Of course we want to respect the entities / deities we work with but as a person who came from Christianity. I’m not trading one God for another now that I know the divinity we have within us. The highest and truest and purest part of us. That creates and shapes our reality.

Is it ok to take for example the banana 🍌 and instead of throwing it away turning it into compost for the plants I also have on my altar to represent earth? I ask because I try not to throw food away that can be used as yummy plant fertilizer and adding bananas and coffee grounds to your plants makes them happy.

Thanks for this video. I've some questions. 1. What to do with the food I offer, should I eat it or throw it? 2. Should I give the food two times (in the morning and at night) or one time? 3. Should I offer food whenever I cast spell? 4. If I want to keep Goddess only is it necessary to keep male god side by side? 5. English is not my native language, so can I communicate with her in my native language? As I'm Indian.

Maybe you can research the deities you are working with? Some deities are stricter with their offerings. (Make sure you double check your sources since some information in witchcraft is biased/misguiding.)

Nakita Tillis try looking it up. I gave my deity some cinnamon apple tea and he loved it. He also likes cinnamon (the spice and cinnamon products) and other warm herbs and spices. So I dunno. Who's your deity?

You may not cook, but presumably you eat 🙂. Or, if you are for health reasons on a liquid diet, there is whatever you drink. However my assumption is that one doesn't have to leave the food that you have actually **cooked** - you could always buy something that you don't normally eat yourself, but portion it out as offerings.

How do you know the diety which comes, is actually the diety of which name you called. How can you verify? Ive heard just because you make an altar place a offering ,say a deities name doesnt necessarily mean, thats the deity that shows up. Could be any spirit. Hopefully i worded it right.

I don't know if there is a different explanation but this is from what I know. In tarot there are wands, pantacles, swords and cups, and each of them has a meaning and an element: Wands (fire): creative energy, desires, masculinity, etc. Swords (air) : thoughts, ideas, comunication, etc. (it also has masculine energy) Cups (water) : emotions, intuition, femininity, etc. Pentacles (earth) : material possesions like money or your phisical body, sometimes also talents, etc. (it also has feminine energy) I'm not an expert so please correct me if i'm wrong 🖤

@@user-wz5zi6kj3x you are correct 👍. Anything mundane. Home, health, career, money, resources. Anything from the earth also, trees, rocks, dirt, leaves. Pentacles represent moneyetc. Colorse like greens, browns, oranges or any combination of these, primarily 'fall' type colors.

Paper money is a very new invention, historically. In the past coins would be made from ores like silver and gold, which are products of the Earth.

I think that perhaps in large part the color of the cloth might be relevant to the god or goddess that you follow. Also, for myself, I might opt to put a piece of fabric or scarf that has imagery on it that I feel is appropriate to that deity.

Oh, the other thing I was thinking, is that it helps to define the sacred space. Also I'm thinking I've seen people who, when they set up an outoor altar, the cloth especially helps to define that space.

Thank you so much for the work you are doing Ali! I have learned so much from your videos and your Manual. In this video you are recommending giving a portion of our daily meals as an offering to the Gods but in another video I thought you were saying that they don't require the same type of sustenance that the Ancestors do. I have been giving food and Ancestor money to my Ancestral Altar daily, but am now a bit confused about to offer for my Deities. Does food and money benefit them as well?..Or should I research the "likes" of my specific Deities and offer them those special items? I know there are several ways to go about doing this and because it's such a personal affair/practice sometimes there are no truly right or wrong answers, however I'd like to know what was most effective and showed results for you. thanks again

S. Ali Myers Hi Ali, can I ask you if you think it's normal my divinity to be Anubis? From a while I found in one shop a statuette of him and it attracted me instantly and I want to bought it but then I've thinked about what God is him and decided to don't to so. But now I saw your video and I think there is a connection. Also the taro card that I choose were the Santa Muerte deck, the tarot of the dead, isn't it strange? Can you tell your opinion about it?

Brother, how many deities is too many on an altar? I know in this vid you show two, a male and female but I know you’ve said in previous posts that you can put more. What is the limit you would suggest?

I'd say it depends. If your achievements and trophies and stuff about you gets displayed and praised, it's all nice and good. If it stands next to another, that's great, things get shared they compliment each other, it would even form a connection between the two. (And in my opinion, when you “spoil“ a diety alone, it could become a bit entitled or upset when you don't do enough. It's better with two but keep the balance, we don't want anyone feeling treated unfairly and being jealous). When you put a third one up,they could form a connection of three (birth, life, death) (morning, day, evening) ect., it would work well enough. But when there are too many in one place, their own “special place“ gets kinda lost. It's like looking at the trophies of a sports team, you desperately search your own between all of these other people's stuff. You just gotta know when it's too much, and maybe study the deity's view on sharing, patience and if they are naturally fine with not being in the spotlight for once or sharing the spotlight. I hope this helps a little.

I heard that once you give an offering (ex. If you give a goddess a necklace you can not wear it once you offer it) you can not take it back. So you offered a banana. Do you throw it away after offering it or eat it? I just want to be clear.

Lotus Empress Hi, I personally compost all food offerings in a separate compost bag before putting it in the city's green bin. I also will wear jewelry, perfume, etc....that I've given to the deity ONLY when I INVOKE (not evoke) that deity. Once the deity is in you they can enjoy it through you. I also eat the same food (on my own plate) that I offer to the deity so they can enjoy through me or with me. ASÉ! 😊🔮

Lotus Empress any offerings you give you cannot eat or take back if u give food 🥘 or 🍌 after lets say 3 or 5 days take it away too a park put around a tree 🌳 give it back too 🌍 earth that’s what I do 💴 or wine 🍷 or even rum but they will let you know they present

nicotico77 I would never be so irresponsible as to encourage or instruct anyone to invoke a Spirit. What I will say is this...the Spirits I work with CHOSE me because they're already a part of me. So my invocation is more of me heightening and bringing out that aspect of Myself which is in alignment with that particular Deity/Spirit/Energy. I personally don't believe Everyone should do this just as Everyone shouldn't perform surgery. We all have our talents. We all have our lanes 😉 Truth&Love 💜 Asé 🔮

Well, 'S. Ali Myers', who does these videos (and you sing the praises of-professing to like so much) has made a video, "How To Invoke The Energy Of The Gods via Deity Alters", invoking spirits. But, YOU've just stated that: " I would never be so irresponsible as to encourage or instruct anyone to invoke a Spirit". Therefore, is S. Ali Myers irresponsible since he, clearly, instructs others how to invoke spirits? Get the heck out of here! You're response was, obviously, stupidly inconsistent!

Peace Ali 🙏🏾, I create a new altar for each Spirit I work closely with so I don't have a male and female representation on my altars. I also only offer food that the Spirit tends to enjoy. I only offer "my kind" of everyday food to my ancestors. Any thoughts?
