When you scan your Dot card to someone's phone is it able to share back right away to your phone so you also have theirs at the time of sharing? Seizing the moment of opportunity to also get theirs. And does something come up on your phone or Dot account that shows who you scanned? Was hoping that if I scanned my card a lot at a convention I would then see a notification showing all the scans I did so I could then follow up with them and not forget who I scanned. Any good workflow you recommend?
Awesome video. Would be even awesome if you had customer service to find out if I could add apps. Does not explain this in your help center and you all haven't returned my emails or submission to "contact us."
A great way to have all your contact info and links in one place. I would, however, like to see a BIO section that allows for more info to be input. Will that be available soon?
I have my dot card but for some reason it doesn’t tap fast enough It’s a awkward 30 second wait and people have a very short attention span so imagine tapping a pretty girls phone and it takes too long and then leaves Then I lost a chance to give the girl my number Where can I get this issue fixed ?
FYI: Had an issue sharing my contact with someone using Duck Duck Go as their main browser. The contact wouldn't save. The contact could only be downloaded but that wouldn't save either. They switched over to Safari in preferences and it worked. They switched back to Duck Duck Go and all info saved into contacts.
Got my Classic DOT, as a Senior citizen I am not Technical, so am hesitant as to how & what to do to get my profile organized and done Correctly. I do think it will be a good addition to my efforts to advertise my business. Any suggestions will be appreciated.😊
So guys, placement is very confusing... He says: for Android do not place DOT in the middle of phone, BUT I placed on TOP next to camera iris's and its now continually popping up on my browser over and over again just like he said for the iPhone? Should I change the location of the DOT to the bottom?
Yeah, I had to watch it twice and realized that at 3:18 , he talks about The Sweet Spot being in the middle for Android.. but the following picture shows that the Sweet Spot is at the BOTTOM 😂 so that's where I'm putting mine🤷🏾♀️
Fucking amazing and hilarious!! So excited to stop giving out my business card for my singing!!! Ok, BUT! You should almost never say "it's that easy" unless there's a joke connected to it. The QR on my card wasn't scannable. Probs bc of lighting, but for someone excited to set it up, it's annoying to hear "how easy it is" 🙃😁
I haven't even gotten to the part if it will actually work it seems the comments before me are saying there are issues I can't even get it to recognize my profile it says I don't exist even though if I put my information back in it says it's already taken by somebody yeah me but it scaned fast and went to my profile page I was trying to add IG info but I seem to have hit a wall. Oh I'm in production definitely a commercial 👍 the other thing is when you go to sign on the colored blocks around the word got that circle all they do is circle it never goes anywhere it's just constantly doing the same thing nothing 😁 okay this is the strangest thing I've ever seen surprise all of a sudden it's working and it's not even a retrograde go figure
It was a great commercial, but there was a mistake. What he said about the link to go to the website he called it a backward slash and it was a forward slash… small mistake, but important
Super frustrating to set these up for a team. I set up a profile and now can't connect it...can't even go to the login page. The login page URL redirects to the onboarding page. I had to clear cookies religiously and use several different devices to get cards set up. There were weird issues where it seemed like info was getting mixed up between team members even though I was logged out of the previous account before starting a new one.
I finally got all my cards set up. I had to just make a new account for one of them that got mixed up and automatically linked to another account when I scanned the QR. My advice is to set everything up on an iphone, make sure you are logged out of the previous account and clear cookies before starting a new account. I still had weird glitches where it looked like things were getting mixed up between accounts in my browser but everything looked normal when I had the employee test their card. The cards seem to have issues scanning on android. The browser freezes up a lot and sometimes won't come up at all.
I had trouble when i tapped my card my Instagram would pop up instead of my website. I simple moved my website to the top of the 'icon list' on the 'view my profile page'. Selecting the fire flame button will connect to the first link at the top of the list as the main link. Unselecting it will allow all of your contacts to be seen. You can not select a phone/text icon as the main link. It has to be a 'viewable' link.
Connecting my new dot thin, card and classic hooked up great to my profile. However, none of them worked when I tried tapping them on my husband's phone. I tried with my case on and off, and his case was on. I tried tapping in the correct area on his google phone, and nothing still worked. What am I doing wrong?
Fundamentally OK - wanted info on how to configure a profile photo...Should be straightforward but it is not. Finding it impossible to center the desired profile photo in the tiny little circle!!

You likely clicked on and activated the fire symbol next to the "edit profile" button when setting up your profile. Try turning that off. When scanned, your profile should now appear instead of the top item when viewing the edit profile screen.
Not a good first impression. Mine won't work. Went through all the set up. When I tapped my phone to see if it worked the web page won't open. I see the dot. with the circle around it and it just keeps glitching. Someone said that NFC technology is temperamental. I see why now.
Help, I shared with a few people, before receiving card, and it is in "Edit" mode, I went back in and deleted, hopefully soon enough. I don't want anyone editing my links, etc. How do you share before having card, I don't think I can share "Preview" mode...HELP???
Does anyone know how to remove the dot up top of your dot card profile and the dot log website to learn more off of your profile. So others who you are sending to does not see that.
I’m disappointed to learn that after buying the car, in order to have a full profile be on the basics, you have to pay more. Seems nice though. I’m just setting it up.
Had same issue: the rocket/flame button next to edit profile will toggle which Section leads your tap. If your profile is highlighted your tap will open to profile, if your website is toggled it open to your website
This company has the worst customer service ever stay away I wish I did I thought I was ordering the card got the dot thin they basically told me it’s my fault if I really want the card place another order
