It depends. Some websites might send it by email and others, give you those backup codes which you can use to recover access to your account. But most of the times, you wont find it anywhere, unless you saved it in that very moment. Thanks for watching!

some website/apps ask you if you want to save your device so you don't have to do this every time you want to access it so that would be the only way. not everyone allows you to do this. which website/app are you talking about?

You need to do this to prevent those scammers from accessing your accounts. If you have 2FA activated, they won't be able to login to your accounts even if they have your credentials

the codes are times based so it makes it difficult for someone to break intro your account. To answer your question, you always need to use the current code within that time frame

thank you for this video. I only want to use this for one website account. If I set it up for that website with google authenticator, I won't need to use this authenticator for any other of my accounts right? In other words, google authenticator will not interfere when I'm trying to access another account besides the one I set up with google authenticator. yes? I really don't want it to.
Please could you assist. I have activated my 2fa for my trading platform. Each time it asks for the 2fa verification code as it's supposed to. But every time I type the code generated in my authenticator app , it won't accept it. Thanks.
In that video I didn't actually see you get a secret code, only the recovery code. Should I see that secret code at some point or not. Your video explains very clearly how the 2FA must be activated for every App or Account individually which I didn't know. However I have not fully understood about the appearance of the secret code. Can you help?🙂
like I said in the video, most of the times you activate 2FA, they will give you either a secret key which looks like a long sequence of letters and numbers or a QR codes. However it was not the case for Instagram.. If you don't see this key or QR code during the setup process, then you wont find it anywhere. To keep yourself protected, you need to find those backup codes I talk about at the end of the video
I have multiple Instagram accounts associated with the same Gmail account and mobile no., So if i allow two factor authentication in one of those Instagram account will it work for the others ? Please help I'm kinda desperate here
Not sure.. but you can try enabling it for one account and see if you get prompted to insert a 2FA code once you switch to another. If this happens, than it should be enabled for all of them.. if not, it means you only use 2FA for that specific account
I was hoping this would help me but it hasn’t. My Facebook account has been hacked. I have the Google authenticator app but don’t know how to find the set up key or how to generate the QR code which I need to set up an account. I have had absolutely no help at all from Facebook I’m praying someone can help.

Hi. On some websites you can find that secret key or qr code within the account security settings but some don’t have that option. In fact when you activate the 2FA they prompt you to save that key somewhere safe or they offer you backup codes as it might be the only way to get your account back in case you lose your phone. Also other websites which store personal data, where you do KYC like on exchanges, can reset your 2FA if you contact their support team. Or on other websites you can insert alternative emails and phone number so in case you lose your 2FA, they can send codes in there so you can regain access to your account. It depends from on site to another… if you have another mobile device, you can transfer your 2FA codes in there so you have them in 2 places in case you lose your phone, at least that’s what I do. Your SIM hasn't got anything to do with your Google Authenticator app. It doesn't store this kind of data. It would be a problem if you change the Apple ID.. But you can keep on using your iPhone even if you remove the SIM

I'm totally lost. Do we have to enable the 2Factor on our Google Account? I installed the Google Authenticator app... opened it and it says 'Set up your first account', then it gives us two options. Scan a QR code or Enter a setup key. I tapped Scan a QR code and held it up to a QR code, but nothing. What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any help.

You don't need any of your Apple or Google account. When you set up 2FA for your bank account, they should provide you with a secret key or a QR code, and that's what you need to insert in the GA app. So if its a QR code you need to scan it or if you get a secret key, you need to insert it manually. Once you do that, the GA app, will start generating 2FA codes based on that key. And those are the codes you need in order to access your bank account. When you activate 2FA on any account MAKE SURE to save that secret key or QR code somewhere safe. ITS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT! ! !

If you are trying to do this from an iPhone, you are probably already logged in with your Apple account. So yeah, it probably asked you to insert your password again to confirm the download of the app. But, that's normal, it asks you to do this every time you download an app. I personally have the face ID active so don't need to do that every time..

Atunci cand activezi 2FA, aceasta se activeaza doar pentru contul respectiv si nu pentru alte aplicatii.. Google Authenticator, aplicatia celor de la Google, este disponibila doar pe mobil. Daca vrei sa aprobi autorizarea de pe PC, atunci sunt niste extensii pentru Google Chrome care pot sa o faca sau si mai bine, poti incerca Authy, o aplicatie care este disponibila si pe PC si pe mobil.

you should have some option that says " need other ways to authenticate" or something like that. Follow the steps in there and you should get at some point where they ask you to submit some kind of ID to prove your identity. That is the only way to get it back
I forgot my gmail password. To reset password the google sent a code to my phone number which i added to my gmail and the code that i received i typed it in the verification code and it's shows wrong code again and again, even when i type the correct code. Please help me with this.

@@dbest4755 you need to provide those documents, otherwise they won't restore your account. When you opened that account, you probably filled the KYC and sent documents, so this is the only way to prove it's really you who is trying to access that account
You need to select “need another way to authenticate “ and follow the steps from there. You will have to provide some kind of ID to prove your identity
