Great video. I have just converted my trailers cable disk brakes to electric drum brakes so i can make use of this feature in my new ranger. The problem is my trailers' brakes now pulsate when braking. Tried changing the gain, disconnected the cabling that's used when trailer disconnected just in case. Do you have any ideas as to why the pulsing?
Hi mate Had my Ranger sport for 12 months and have struggled with the integrated brake controller. My 19 Ranger with the Redarc unit had no issues stopping when my 3T boat was attached on a gain of 4, I run the integrated unit on 10 just to remove the surface rust off the disc’s. The boat trailer has electric hydraulic with 4 disc’s. Originally the 12 pin plug that’s standard on the new Ranger wouldn’t power the brake unit, ford informed me I had to move a few of the pins around, this got power to the unit but it’s always delayed applying force or power, relying heavily on the cars brakes to do 95% of the work. Thinking of just wiring in a new Redarc unit as ford have been of no help even after demonstrating it’s not the trailer system that’s the issue.
great video explaining ty. what's the gauge to the right of the "tow display" screen?? (the veh engine temp is on the lhs of the whole display and fuel to the right )
