You need to make sure the mod initializes and the plugin is enabled.

It will automatically link and switch to proximity as soon as you launch Minecraft and join a server, thats normal to hear each other

Claim a new server and if it doesn’t work try another free mumble server host. GuildBit works great.

From what you are saying it kicks you for timing out cause 30 sec is like a standart on servers from what do I know

Question: Do you need to use a server to be able to use mumble? or can it be done on any type of server you want. And do other players need to install mumble? or do they only have to turn on mumble link. Thanks and great vid :D

Yes, everyone needs to install Mumble. You all need to be connected to a Mumble server but you can play on any server with Mumble

If you have the Link to Game and Transmit Position enabled, then your plugin isn’t linking correctly then. Reinstall them.

You just create the folder with the version name and place the mods into it. Forge will auto use them from that version in there

Your audio setup is not done correctly. Set up the audio input to be your microphone.

Try and restart the game. If still not fixed, double check the mod is loading into the game correctly.

Double check that it is enable in the addons tab. If thats not the issue, then make sure the mod is initialized. If still not the issue, then I'm not sure. Sorry.

Hey so if I want to host a server I don’t know about the clean voice thing because I don’t want a ton of spam mail after giving a website my email, if I use like temporary mail would it still work. Thanks. P.S. If that won’t work I’ll use email just a bit skeptical.

If me and my friends want to go into my own server, would we have to type the server address and port etc into Mumble instead of the Clean Voice one or is Clean Voice just used as a voice chat? Also I’m presuming we all need the same forge version to prox chat with each other

Yes for same Forge and CleanVoice is just the Mumble server that you need to be connected to. Everyone has to be connected to the same Mumble Server. If you have another/your own, you don’t need it

Is mumble link a heavy software? Like will it make minecraft lag? Like a few spikes are ok but like getting 1 to 2 fps is not cool.

A Mumble server doesn't have any reason for mods. That's a Minecraft server.

Make sure it’s linking to Minecraft. Also enable the Link to Game and Transmit Audio checkbox in Mumble’s plugins tab

Under plugins in Mumble, link to game and transmit audio has to be checked. As well, To my knowledge; there is no Fabric mumblelink mod.

Okay, so first I just want to say great tutorial! It worked great for me (Mostly)! But after an hour or so, the positional audio stopped working, now anybody I am in the [mumble] server with can hear me as if it was discord, everyone else has positional audio for me, but I am the only one that doesn't any idea why? I'm using mumble with lunar client for mumblelink.

Make sure that the plug-in is enabled, if nothing else works just reinstall Mumble.

@@mekyg813 This is REALLY late and not sure if this is even relevant but just wanted to put this here in case anyone else is having the issue, but when using mumble you have to enable the link positional audio to game thing, and then reload plugins while in game then tick the check bar next to the thing that says link in the list of plugins
