Drip Irrigation is the most efficient way to water plants. You can setup drip irrigation with in-ground sprinklers with proper fittings such as 1/4 in adapter for quarter in drip line and 1/2 in adapter for 1/2 in drip line. You can also run 1/2 in drip line to areas of you garden where you do not have sprinklers and then use 1/4 in drip line where you need water.
