@@noellelake599 Modem will only give you 1 connection while router will give you at list 4 connection from modem I connect ethernet cable to router and from router I run internet cable to desktop computer, and to tv so modem is not enough in my setting . I use a router and i pay $5 extra a month + internet service from spectrum .If you are going to connect only to 1 device than modem is enough you don't need a router.
Hi, have successfully contected my android tv box to my vpn network through ethernet cable, I can access the TV App, view channels, movies & TV shows but when I play them they do not stream & shows very low Kbs like 4 Kbs. Is there an IP conflict? BTY I’m based in PRC.
2 issue here, why are you hiding your 192.168*** IP address, that is internal and only accessible from your side of the router, no one else can use it or access it, and 355 is not a valid IP address value as it goes from 1 to 255
Yes. You will need to buy a usb to Ethernet adapter. They are easily available on Amazon. The Ugreen brand is the most reliable as it is plug and play. I'm hoping you have a usb port on your roku. Hope this helps.
I have the same issue as the above question, but my tv only has wifi connection as an option. I bought the adapter, but it does not work. Is there anything I can do?
@@TheSokodelic okay if you want to connect your Roku TV to Ethernet so it's faster connection and when you're watching TV shows they won't buffer your television has to have a HDMI slot in the back.If it does... You can go to amazon.com buy the fire stick ethernet connector . It looks like a large USB and it has a HDMI adapter connection on it and on the other end of it is a Ethernet slot. All you need is another Ethernet wire connect it to the fire stick and connect the other end on the modem. Set up then srarts on the tv .
my android tv box was runningg on wifi 5g and I thought it was slow due to stuttering and lag on redbox and tvmmob applications so i went and bought a cat 6a ethernet cable and plugged it directly into my wall outlet for ethernet but my box still shows i am hooked up to wifi. someone please help me, how do i get my box to recognize that it is hooked up to ethernet now and not wifi. it is still lagging and stuttering on apps and says it is wifi connection doesnt say ethernet connection.. i have searched for this problem onlline but this is the closest video i have found about this issue , so if anyone knows how i can get my box to recognize it is on ethernet instead of wifi please let me know. i thought just plugging it in would work but still shows wifi connection. thanx
The constant grammarly ads on RU-vid are a headache: suggesting we cannot write proper English is an insult rather. Anyhoo: I believe now that no-one knows how to fix the connection problems not even the experts. I have tried everything believe me: the resetting and unplugging that worked last week with the same problem do not work this week. Even re-booting the TV: that worked once, now the TV won't let me reboot. Perhaps the service works on a shared basis: if you have many devices connected they all won't work since connection has become limited to a couple of devices. (That's my theory I really do not have any idea.) Anyone? I spend 2/3 hours a day trying to connect my devices when the WiFi goes haywire. If this is the future then it is a technological mess.
