Very informative. So good to know that the unloader should have a dribble of water flowing from the dump valve. I did not know this. Also thanks for the tip to only adjust with the trigger off.
What do you do in the unloader is bypassing too much water? I have I k5 that I am trying to adjust like you describe in this video and I can't seem to get more than about half the flow out the high pressure tip. I have inspected the internal very closely for wear but don't see any damage and everything appears to be assembled correctly. Pump will make good pressure and tip size should be in range.
tAKE THE PIPE OF THE RETURN TO PUMP IF POSSIBLE & THEN FIT A BUNG IN THE PUMP HEAD IF POSSIBLE. IF NOT ABLE TO DO THAT BEST OFF WITH PRESSURE GAUGE TO SYSTEM & SET AT MAX AND SLOW ADJUST BUT ALSO LISTEN TO THE UNLOADING NOICE. UNLOADING AT THE LOWEST POINT WITH LITTLE BUMP.
most important thing when setting a unloader, know the pumps pressure & ltrs then match up the jet size hen setup or you are wasting your time. Thanks qwashers
Hi mate, the water coming out of my dump valve remains the same no matter how much I adjust it. It's a brand new k5 uploader on a ws201 pump, any advice please
What number is stamped on the 24mm nut on the outlet, number 1 or 2 or 3 Have you bought the correct one for the machine. Have you tried to change the adjustment when you have had the trigger pulled, if so you are not meant to change with the trigger being pulled sorry to say. Thanks qwashers
Damian Johnson hi, no we copied your video. There is a number 2 stamped on it, it was already attached when we bought the uploader valve. I also made sure the little star is sat in position as I saw in your other video. Thanks James
Damian Johnson , thanks for all your advise, unbelievably helpful, I'm a diesel fitter so had the engine running but know next to nothing about the pump, we called someone in and they ordered the uploader for us, he assured me by fitting that it would solve the problem, I'll order up what you've advised and go from there. zero pressure in the hose when release ing the trigger with machine running. leak on the trigger and the engine does not keeep surging. slow start not going from 0 - 200 bar in a second taking strain away from engine shaft.
