Hi! great video! 5 questions: 1. Why did you use ubuntu version 20 instead of 22? 2. What is InstallFEX for? 3. How can I make automatic backups? 4. How do I update the server when it updates? 5. How do I install add-ons on the server?
1. the library which is openssl 1.1 is not avaliable on 22 and at this time there is no way to downgrade openssl it on ubuntu 22 2. installfex is the x86 emulation layer for ARM servers as the free server is on ARM and the minecraft bedrock server made for x86 servers 3.I am not sure how to do that for vanilia bedrock servers yet 4. simply download the new server files and unzip 5. vanilla minecraft server doesnt support addon, use pocketmine instead
@@OliTheRepairDude But if I copy the Worlds folder by FTP as you showed, to a safe place, would this folder serve as a backup? Then when you do a new installation, just move that folder to the server and I would have my world back?
When I click on Ampere ang to to shape name it says 'Either no shapes are compatible with this image, or no shapes are supported in this availability domain.' please help, I chose 20.04
Love this video, thanks for the info. It works well. I didn't load on the specific OS image you specified, I used the current one, 22.0.4. It seems to run ok though. Sometimes I get errors connecting to the world, is that normal or a symptom of me using the wrong image? Is there any other way to run this without going through emulation, like the VM.Standard.E2.1.Micro? But would it's limited CPU and RAM be an issue?
