I got you! And I had the same problem when I started learning Bubble. Everyone loved to show off how smart they were, but no one wanted to simplify instructions in a way that people like myself could understand.
@@BuildingWithBubble do you know how to set up the map in bubble to show all users? A logged in user goes to the map page and on that page the map shows all users. Right now Im only getting single addresses at a time. Thanx
@@agatolwey6218 Good question. When you select on the map element, you'll see an option to update the 'number of markers'. Change this from 'single' to a 'list'. Then, from here, you can search through your database for all of your users. You'll just need to ensure that users have an address field you can reference and display in the map. Hope this helps!

Hi Lachlan. Thanks for this video... I like how you simplify everything and I must say your tutorial videos are very helpful. After following each step as demonstrated on this video, I get the following error message: Error hitting Google Geocode API: API keys with referer restrictions cannot be used with this API. Did I miss something?
Great to hear the tutorials are helpful! And that error does seem strange. I'd recommend deleting the Geocode API key, then re-adding it. This might just reset the settings that you use. Hope this helps.
is it safe to add credit card details, how can I ensure that there won't be any automatic payment from the website. I wanted to create a project for my uni for which I wanted to use google maps.
If you're concerned about charges from the API, I'd recommend reading through the maps documentation to review their billing rates. As I mentioned in the tutorial, Google is quite generous with how many free requests you can send, but doing your research will ensure you don't find any surprises. Hope this helps!
Hi, please help me. When I click on preview the page does not show me the map but a blank space and this error "Google Maps Extended Error Failed to load. Please check that you have provided the dynamic data required for Map Type, Center Location & Zoom".
Happy to help The Maps Extended plugin is built and operated by a third-party developer. This is separate from the map element that Bubble provides by default. I also use the Maps Extended plugin in a few of my own applications. I can see that they've recently counted a bug. The plugin developer had sent me this email: "We are in the process of updating our maps plugin. In the meantime please to get around this error please add a regular Bubble Google map thats hidden anywhere on the page. That should force Bubble to load Google Maps Scripts". Follow these steps and let me know if it makes a difference.
Good question. Yes, this is possible. Any time you reference an address in Bubble, you can select the 'more' option after the address, then use the 'extract' operator. This will allow you to extract the street, city, country, etc
Hello, is it possible in Bubble to have a map where a user can draw a Geo-fence with mouse ? What would i need to learn to do that? Second use the polygon area to bring another layer of external data ( another API maybe) so the user can see temperature color over it. Kind of windy. Could you kindly provide me a learning path to get there?

Very strange. In the past, if I've ever found an error like this, it can sometimes help to delete and recreate your API keys. This can help reconfigure your connection between your Google developer account and Bubble.

When you create a Google developer account, you'll be required to add a payment method before it can start processing API calls From my understanding, they only accept a credit card as a payment method, but it could be worth seeing if they offer any alternatives like Google Pay
Glad it could help. When it comes to sending your address, you could store a field under your user data type called 'current address' and have this be a geographical place. You could then trigger a workflow that runs every X seconds or minutes that updates this field with the 'current users geographic position' option. Then if you'd like to send this to someone else on a map, just create a workflow that passes on this address field and displays it within a map. Let me know if this helps.
