Thanks for the review, I bought these headphones and I was about to return them. Because I couldn't control the sound of the microphone and the audio. Thanks to you I discovered that I had a firmware update to be able to use the usb controller card. And now it works perfectly on my PlayStation 4 slim. I can control the sound and microphone volume without having to use the PS menu, thank you.
Hey on sound settings, my microphone has that red arrow going downwards and stating not plugged in but in your case its there. Could you please tell me how to fix that. I am using cloud II and I have updated the firmware and restarted as well. nothing worked yet

i just copied the link and put it into internet explorer and it worked. but im still having a problem with the microphone. the levels are at 100, the soundcard is working and the mic is not muted and it STILL wont talk. i really need help cause i really love the rest of this headset

@@WickedCushions Hi there, I recently bought a Cloud II headset, is was the default version 0030 for the firmware, but i have update my headset to 0010 .then i got proplems I have some sound related issues I think may be related to the firmware. becuse that i need older link 0030

For anyone who can't raise their microphone level from zero and have tried the fixes offered in the comments make sure that in your "Microphone Privacy Settings" you have "Allow apps to access your microphone" & "Allow desktop apps to access your microphone" set to on. Mine was disabled.

It is not letting me raise my Mic Volume. I have downloaded Firmware and updated it to 010 for both and it's not currently letting me raise it. It is stuck at 0 and not taking input sound at all. @Wicked Cushions, I am using a PC Windows 10. I have gone over the video 10 times and it's not working.

It was weird, I did this but it said "you are going to an older version. 30 to 10". Lucky you showed this , that's it is going from 30 to 10. Pff, thanks man.
You either did not update your firmware / you are not connected with the soundcard. This video needs to be watched fully, if you skipped or fast forwarded, chances are you missed a step. If none of what I said worked, unplug and replug your mic.
I don't understand. I bought my Hyper X Cloud Alpha headset and it came without a soundcard. I had to use the splitter cable. Recently i got the soundcard and whenever i try to update the firmware, it says device is not found. I tried uninstalling, reinstalling, restarting whilst disconnecting the amp and literally everything. In the sound settings it won't even pick up as 'Virtual Surround', it just says 'HyperX Headset' . I don't know what to do
I would too, you are right. I have changed studio and microphones since then, new videos that are about to come out have much better audio :) The video is still valid however

@@chadbear8759 You might be talking about the WIRELESS HyperX Cloud 2, this video is not for that. If you are talking about the regular cloud 2, than it should have come with that and you might want to contact whoever you bought it from

i click the download firmware but nothing happens. Yall need to restart your pc for the update to take effect after its restarted you can change the mic levels db nvm i found out what to do. i needed to right click and open in a new tab and open with winrar
In the off chance anybody is actually reading this commen, I got a question: Isn´t 00.30 a newer update then 00.10? When I opened the updater and clicked update it said that my current version (00.30) was newer then the one I tried to update to (00.10), which got me really confused...

I doesn't recognize the 0010 version but It recognizes the 4103 version, when I try to install the 0010 version it says Hyperx cloud 2 7.1 device not found please connect the device and restart the program. Thanks for helping
1) Make sure you update the firmware in the first step of the video, if you don't, it WILL be locked 2) After updating, DISCONNECT the soundcard & restart your computer 3)Unplug and plug in your mic
Boss do you have idea why my audio on HyperX Cloud 2 (HP's version) is a lil bit distorsionated? Per example, watching your video I hear your voice distorsionated sometimes. I was listening you with a little crispy sound when high tones came. I already updated the firmware (thanks to you) and didn't fix it. On my games does not happen. Could be that some retransmissions/videos has poor audio quality and Im getting that result? Because this headsets has "more spectrum" than a cheap one and I never noticed on my old ones?? Maybe im getting crazy. Idk man.

Hey, im having some problems with the headphones. I bought these for my pc and the issues are that the only way that I can use the mike is to just barely connect the addabtor with the head sets wire. Yall got any ideas of what to do? Its been hard playing games with friends because of this.
I am on the step where I would have to go to Levels under Headset Microphone Properties, (I had made sure to set the headset as the default device but, when I go to Levels and try to move the scrubber to adjust the volume; it doesn't want to move...Why is this doing this? I had attempted steps 2 through 5 and it still has not worked...Which is weird, because I was able to get the headset to work via Discord's settings but, all of a sudden has stopped working again...Would you suggest, that I should unmute the mic through the headset's soundcard and how would I be able to do that?

At 2:30 of your video, when I double clicked the headphones to check the levels for the headset, they were at zero and I cannot move or change it.
