You can use silicon to seal of the gap between the awning and door to prevent water leakage.

Glad someone is having luck with them. I bought a few of these style awnings off eBay, I found them an absolute nightmare to work with. The panels kept slipping out of the joiner, I was going to glue them in but I literally just decided to chuck it in the recycling.

The included bolts look like masonary anchors, for brick buildings. Good call on swapping them out for your timber home.

Also easier if you lay it on it's side so you can push down when assembling. Just a thought. Also, the first anchors you were showing and saying they are a mess to use and makes big holes in the house............well, that is because they are made for masonry walls. Not wood

Seems simple but I'm a bit worried about possibly hitting something with the long screws or the mounting screws it came with. How could someone ensure the area behind doesn't have anything? Guess?

Hello sir do you think those 3 1/2 inch screws will hold up in stucco?

Mine came without instructions and I pulled the plastic off now I don't know which side is the UV side. Can you tell which side is the UV side? Mine was a bitch to assemble the two plastic sheets together, the slots in the center section were narrow and I had to use a butter knife to feed them into the slots. Maybe because it's cool in here? Again: how can you tell the UV side when the plastic has been pealed off?

Don't buy if your doorway is exposed to extreme wind, mine didn't last an Irish storm as did any of the neighbours ones

those gold anchors are for brick, stone, or concreate walls not for siding or wood.

should I connect 2, 40" sections together, then attach to wall OR do each one separately?

I have to install on side door with bricks N protection from snow so do u think regular screws wd do or the one that came with? Also never used those screws come in a package so wanted to know how to do thay
