Thanks for the video, very informative. I wanted to rest my gateway and create a new SSID and PW. Your video will help immensely. Do you know what the red (or yellow) line next to one of the Ethernet ports is for?
I want to use my existing Eero mesh setup with this modem from Rogers. How do I set the modem to throughput the signal to my Eero and bypass the built-in wifi?
If you have fibre internet you don't need to connect the coax cable. You can plug a ethernet cable into the 4th socket on the router. Mine wouldn't work until i did this.
@@ashokbhambhu2351 thanks for info, just one more question, before you setup and connect to the new router wifi, are you connecting to another wifi first hand before you can change the ssid and password of the new router ?
@@Cableman-hr2uu I was using my mobile data to download app and access app. But you don’t need to another wifi or change ssid. App will guide you through creating your wifi and password.
Hi Ashok, I am with Bell but thinking to go with Rogers because they have better deals at the Moment but the Coaxial cable for the box is that just the TV Coaxial Plug you typically find anywhere in your home correct? Like Bedroom living room etc or is it a dedecated FTTH Network plug for the internet? Thanks
Thanks for this video. I was about to kick my husband coz he was not able to find the coex plug for 2 days . Then when I watch your video I started finding the coex plug and finally our wifi is now connected.
My mobile is not using a Canadian phone number, but can use WhatsApp, etc. Can it access the HomeConnect App? Will the App's icon appear automatically once after plugging in the Ignite modem?
Once you complete the setup, then open the home connect app again. Go to wifi section - click on Wifi details - click on edit wifi details - Enable Split Band option ✅
Hello.! I was trying to install this wifi but there is no "DEVICE" section in my phone or in my any other roommate's phone. We even have latest software update too. What to do?
@@ashokbhambhu2351 It can be done. I just did it. 1) I connected the power cord and coaxial cables. The light turned white almost immediately. 2) Under Internet settings for my laptop, I selected mine and logged in to the internet (using default username & password given at the bottom of the modem). If needed, scan for available networks. 3) Opened a new browser page and it took me to a page where I had to type in username and password. That's it. For step 3, you can 1) use the default info OR 2) create your own. I created my own username & password.
I have yet to get Ignite but if I do, I am wondering what you think of the Rogers video I will link. I'm wondering because, they advise doing setup in a different order of the steps your video illustrates (in your own order). Does it really make a difference to perform the steps "your" way instead of the way they show in this clip: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Y1eVuZ1ceco.html
