Does the title imply that the Turnigy 9X cannot be set up to fly a drone unless you perform a ER9X firmware upgrade? I called Hobby King where I bought the TX and they told me it would be a good TX for a drone application so I bought it. They didn't say that I had to do firmware upgrades first. Please help me.

i'm beginner at it. i ordered f450 quadcopter (apm 2.8 flight controller neo7m gps etc) long range controller flysky fs th9x and wolf box 1w 433mhz transmitter for search and rescue purpose but i don't understand how to know quadcopter location when quad found anything in forest few kilometer away from me
You need the data radios for the APM. Then download Mission Planner into your laptop/tablet. Plug one into the telemetry port on the APM 2.8 and the other into USB port on your laptop/tablet. With the radio plugged into your pc and the other on the quad you can see where it is on the map. It will also give you gps coordinates and you can setup autonomous flights by just selecting waypoints on the map. It's really easy.
Finally i found a easy way to enable the 3 position switch , easy to understand in this video , thank you man , How can I enable 6 flight modes for apm ? i have seen videos with curves and customs switch and many things with different numbers that i cant undertand how it does work , can you help me? :)
Hey there, just trying to figure out why you would need these 3 postions and also the pot function? I've used a tricopter before, but I'm building a quad to try out, so I'm trying to fetch as much info as I can before I start to fly with it. Great video otherwise!

Hi everyone! I need some help Recently the range on my stock turnigy 9x radio has dropped off ridiculously it used to be able to go half a mile easy Now it has a range of like 20 feet I switched out the antenna on the receiver but with no effect Please help

@@celsopizano6677 yes, & no. Yes, because I did get it to finally work the kwad. Although I had the transmitter set to the wrong mode. So when I finally got a indication of the transmitter actually functioning w/the kwad it was at 50% throttle as soon as I had armed the kwad. And being my 1st experience with any kind of hobby grade multirotor and being totally unfamiliar with the power that they can have, I reacted instinctually and went to knock it back down before it got high enough to fall and break parts. And quickly learned that lesson. But after that, and not having any confident way of setting the transmitter correctly, I just ordered a FrSky Q-X7 (which had just been released). So sorry I don't have anything helpful for you.
