This is a great unit. If you want a dynamic mic and can't afford the SM7b the FiFine K688 sound great with this unit. The preamp does get a little harsh in the high end at top gain settings and there are two things you can do. You can reduce the highs using the EQ or better yet get a mic booster like the Klark Teknik CT1. That way you can keep the gain down within the better sounding range and still get all the volume you need. This works great for both podcasting and karaoke.

Great review! Question, have you been able to connect the E2 to a DAW? I am trying to connect E2 via live output to XLR input of my external soundcard/interface that I use with my DAW. I really only want to use the custom soundpads as a track in my daw to trigger when recording live podcast. The DAW doesn't seem to pick up E2 sounds that are recorded on the custom buttons.

Good evening, First and Foremost, thank you for the video. I have a question can you record sound bytes using the computer connected to the mixer? I would like to use sound effects and wanted to know if the sound has to come from the mic or can you connect this to a pc and play sound in the pc and record it on the device? Thank you for your video. I want to ask if this condenser mic picks up noisy easily? I'm planning to do some music covers in my room but it's not exactly a sound proof room I have. There are fan and aircon running. Not sure if I should switch it up to a dynamic microphone instead. Hope you can help :)

Great review. Thanks for this. So I did a Facebook live and I connected via Bluetooth and everything worked but the person on the other end not the watchers could hear the custom clips or even the pitch changes. Any ideas? Thanks

I had to watch this about 20 times already lol Question, am I able to use an adapter to use my usb mic? This mic is not it for me. It picks up sound like you show and that irks me. I would like to add an important point. Maonocaster AME2 has a rear button for turning off the led lights and this button also serves as monitoring off feature. When you press once this button it turns off monitoring. When you press and hold it turns off the leds light. Just for your info.

Hello. My friend and I want to start a podcast, but we don't have a lot of knowledge about the subject. However, we really want to do it as it is an event we've been wanting to do for a while. What kind of microphone should we choose for a beginner level? Do we have to choose a model with an XLR input? Or will the quality of our recordings increase "wow" significantly compared to USB models? Our budget is a maximum of $500. If you have any models or setups you can recommend, I would be very happy. Thank you for this video! I’ve been debating between the Hayner Seek HS-AP902X and this Maonocaster AME2A, and I think I’m going with this one here… what are your thoughts between the two? So I think the mic quality is better on the maono, especially since you can connect a Shure SM7b ( that really surprised me ). I felt it was easier to load custom buttons in the Hayner-Seek and I like that it came preloaded, buts that’s all to your preference. If I had to choose, I would pick the Mano for mic quality and the audio interface is good enough to power pro mics.

Hello, love ur videos, I'm on a budget & plan on starting my podcast soon with this Maono mic...however I'll be using the FDUCE mic as my primary & would use this Maono as the secondary for guests on the show, do u think I can use a XLR to 3.5mm to plug into the Mic 2 port on the Maonocaster E2 which will allow me to record through it once it's connected to my MacBook?

@LoKnows having a problem going live only using my iPhone and a tablet for background music but I have to use the BT when I use auxiliary mode it don’t pick it up and I use phone plugged to back of sound card I hear everything I’m supposed to Buuuutttt on my live stream No one hears anything that I hear from headset..I’m using a 8pin to 3.5mm headphone jack to connect my phone to sound card can that be the issue ? Great video. For some reason my sound effects or anything with Bluetooth are not coming through on my videos. I can hear them fine on my headphones. My audio from my microphone comes through perfectly also. I've tried several different usb-c cables and various connection combinations and still nothing. I looked through the settings on computer, so I'm not sure what the issue is. What am I doing wrong or did I miss something on set up with my computer?

maybe use the headphone jack as the output instead of the usb port. Something about bluetooth and internal sounds seems to be routed out to speakers but doesnt go through internal sound system that plays everything

I'm using it with my BM800 but with phantom power. It works very well. You have to select the MIC switch on rear according your needs. I selected it with 50db and it works quite well with this setting. If you use Phantom Power with BM800 it will work flawless. Just try.

The maono sounds good with the audio recorder but it did not sound that great going through your laptop. i'm hoping it'll sound a little better plugged into my iMac. That'll keep me from getting the maonocaster if it's going to sound like that. however, maybe just pushing it through a audio record similar to yours might be the best bet.

Did you check sound sampling rate on your PC ? When selecting 48 Khz the audio sounds good in recording. If you leave at default level 44 Khz, recording quality is a little bit lower.

Hey man great video! I currently use a RodeCaster Pro but I’m looking for something a little more portable. I have a few questions. #1 could I plug the usb-c cord from the machine to my laptop and use it as transmitter for streaming? #2 On the Rodecaster pro, I’m able to plug my TRRS cord into my phone and record video with out having to edit in a software. Is that something this machine could do? Great video again, and think this could make a great follow up video!

Please help. Even with the reverb setting on “original”, I’m still getting a slight reverb, and it’s terrible. I’m also getting sound out of my Shure SM7B when the phantom power is off. I’m totally stumped

When I was using it, I would hear a slight reverb in the headphones but it didn’t come through in the recording. Make sure the reverb volume and decay is turned all the way down.

Firstly, you have to make sure the depth knob is turned ALL the way down to not get any reverb out of the E2. Also, if you're running an SM7B, you don't need phantom power. Dynamic mics, like the 7B do not need 48V. Condenser mics do.
