I wanted to make some for my nieces who are 9 and 10, would I still use the 20x8” fabric pieces and the 5” long elastic, or should I make something smaller if you or anyone knows? Thank you in advance! I have been looking for an easy headband tutorial and am so excited to try this!

Can the elastic vary in size or can it be any size so long as it's cut 5 inches
