How to sew a patch onto a sash 

Eagle scout here, learning what I forgot 😕. I am getting ready for my son's adventure! Thank you for showing how simple this is.

This seems so doable for a beginning or infrequent sewer. Not to mention not too difficult on the fingers.

Is there a certain way the patches go on? Like a place to start? I never went but my kid is in sparks and she got some patch for doing the oath about being friends or something
