Okay, this is perfect. I'm making a stretchy velvet dress to go on a glitzy date with my SO because I couldn't find anything I wanted to be seen in, lol! You have so many great tips here! I have a difficult body shape to cater to (large bust that doesn't like to fit in anything, and a butt that feels the same way.) I love the way you take in dresses!! I will be using this on everything and anything. Thank so much!
I have watched so many videos and yours is the best. Omg I'm going to cry because I feel relieved. Like yes I can do this. Thank you so much. Love love love thanks
Your so cute!!! I love all your videos. You got recommended for sewing but I stay for the awesome wigs and amazing costumes 😍😍😍 more sewing AND wigs AND makeup please
Honestly, I love how you add math to this... I suck t math but if I learned it while relating to something that I like. (like drag/costuming) it may have been easier to Learn lol
Gorl you are fabulous thank you so much! This is the first video I’ve watched to learn how to sew and you’ve made me feel so much better about starting out...! ❤️
Just discovered your channel!!! I have recently wanted to learn to sew clothing. I LOVE YOUR TEACHING STYLE. Cannot wait for the fabric stores to open to try this! ❤
Did you know: on the left side of your sewing machine (that little thing sticking out) you can use to cut your tread. There is a small knife thingy in there. My Singer has one too. It's very practical because I don't have to grab my scissor the whole time and I will make my piece "thread clean" after it's completely sewed.
yeah! I tend to use scissors still because it's just easier to get closer to the stitch, and so I can also cut off the loose end at the beginning. I find I always forget and leave some threads hanging if I don't cut them off as I go lol!
I do hope I won't offend you by saying that your technique may seem very down and dirty for most experienced sewers but the fit & finish you seem to get is really impressive. Keep doing what works for you!
Hey kyne im a huge fan Im a beginner at wigs etc could you maybe make a tutorial on how to cut the lace, plugging the hairline and blocking down the wig on the wig block? Would be soo glad🙏🏼
If you put your pins in perpendicular to the edge of the fabric you can sew right over them and not have to take them out as you go! That’s just how I was taught
onlinekyne both methods are correct but is dependent on the style of pin used. Dress makers pins (small brass or steel pins) are used perpendicular as they are extremely fine. Ball headed pins are generally thicker and best to go laterally to seam.
Also the detachable base is a common feature on most domestic machines and is referred to as “free-arm”. Generally long board/quilting machines don’t have this feature.
Kyne your sewing tutorial made us fell like a master seamstress and you fabric pattern made us fell like making a kik ass entrance condragulation you won this week challange
