Thank you for teaching me how to make a very professional looking stocking! I have been sewing for more than 45 years, along with quilting, but had never made one like this. Now, I am making them for my adult kids, as well as the grandkids. Again, many thanks-you are a great teacher!

Sew helpful. Thank you. After picking out my stitches 3 times because my embroidered name on cuff appeared to be inside out, I discovered this video at 4am last night. I am SO happy I found your video! I lost the directions I used when making a stocking for my grand son (8 yrs. ago!) and just could not figure out the cuff for my granddaughter's stocking. Your video is excellent. Your calm, soothing voice and clearly stated instructions were just what I needed - 4 days before Christmas! The placement directions were especially helpful. I really enjoyed your tutorial. It looks like you have a lot of fun with your fabrics and that sewing is near and dear to your heart at such a young age❣️I have 3 girls myself and they all sew quite well. I’m now in my elder years (AND RETIRED) and still love to sew lots of things. It’s so satisfying to me to see all you millennials coming up with very cool ideas and keeping the art alive. This is by far the best video I've seen for stockings as you include a lining as well as the embroidery with the fold over cuff. I couldn't find instructions like this very easily, so thanks again for this great video and glad to see you are a Husqvarna Viking user too!

Did you cut out your cuff first or just wait to cut it after you embroidered it? I have a 8x8 frame and wondering if I should wait to cut out my cuff after running through my embroidery machine

Mine fit inside my frame so I had mine cut at the final size and just made sure to centre it where I expected the design to appear. But it could be easier to embroider it first then trim to size - how did your stockings turn out? Sorry I didn't log into RU-vid over Christmas. :)
