While that is very true, this guide is meant for beginners who likely don’t have any idea about color theory. Normally people end up making a neon yellow shade that is not realistic, and I’m trying to avoid that. I definitely agree! Red, yellow, and blue hues are very possible for skin.

@@Iamalesbianlmao not racist if she is intending it to be for white skinned people which is what she meant. Dont take it out of context, its a tutorial that you can modify for you and our skin. She was going over color theory.

@@SkettiKandie there’s a difference between yellow and tan. Giving a character yellow skin if the character is human, is racist. I’ve studied color theory for years and am an actual artist. Likewise I also study culture history in my free time.

Maybe more clarification on what I think she meant: Most people when they go to design a skin tone for a white/light toned person end up going more yellower, which would be more for a yellow pigmented person, but it would be wrong if the intention was to make a whiter character. If the intention was to make a character with more olive skin, then it would be correct. I dont mean to be rude I can see how it can be turned to be racist, but that was not the RU-vidrs intent. I just wanted to clear that up a little more. I have also studied color theory.

I have a dumb question but how do you color the top of the head and between the legs? I use the app in mobile so idk if it gives me the option to color those spots?

And for the top of the head, just turn the skin

You can essentially do the same thing, just make minor edits around the torso area to round it out.

They are using the alex skin base while the default ( the one you are using ) is the steve skin which makes the skin a bit larger. To fix it you can just click the thing under where you get rid of body parts and select "slim (3px) "
