This chain was dull before sharpening, and dull after sharpening. When its that dull, you need to take more than 3 strokes.

The thing I like about your demonstration is that you had what I would call a good kit for beginners and you explained, and demonstrated the process very well. Now I too can sharpen a chainsaw. I'd like to know other ways if they're as effective and faster! I've sharpened my chainsaw tons of times this way and while it most definitely works, it's the most tedious task especially when all you want to do is get some cutting done!

You can sharpen chains many more times than 3, i have chains i have sharpened a dozen times that cut faster than what you had just shown. I think you have a lubrication problem with your saw, when did you last lubricate all the moving parts?

Very instructed I use your method and it works; my saw had a new chain but it dulled cutting roots on a tree; I learned that when your blade goes in the dirt it will dull quick
