It is a wonderful camera. I dont regret buying it at all. I bought the Insta 360 last year and made some roadbike shots. I like it because it is easy to use and to mount on bike. I uploaded some videos on youtube but i still miss some editing techneques.
I agree that 360 cams are fun to shoot with (I still have the first Insta 360 One X). However, I wouldn't say that you don't have to consider composition. Of course you reframe later. But it makes a big difference if e.g. you position the camera high above you, creating an almost drone-follow-effect, more traditional on chest level (Gopro-style), or even close to the ground as in your suitcase-example. So I would say in some sense you have to think even more about what you want to do with the shot, in contrast to filming with a smartphone or Gopro, where you obviously see what you get right away.
LAS VEGAS HERE...a great many 'travel-video' VLOG-CREATIVES operate here 24/7 the lure of 360 is overwhelming and we have a problem with quality of production and publication of quality content ...the TAXI shot with several well placed cameras is my favorite setting to organize a podcast collage of the many famous and celebrity moments that find an outlet and viewing audience ...it would seem that LAS VEGAS is the perfect place to work on technique (Yellow Productions)
Excellent content. That's from a professional TV cameraman who started when cameras where the size of a small fridge 😂 Loving how technology has gone stratospheric over the years!
Hey Paul, don't worry, my first camera was one that I stole from my dad as a Kid....it literally had to be carried on my shoulder and the the tapes alone were 5 times the size of any camera today (I completely relate). Glad to hear you enjoyed the video, thanks for watching 🙂
Loved this video man. I don’t have yet but so many greats ideas just off the short vid you gave dude the possibilities are truly endless if you are really trying give good qualities vids, and it doesn’t even seem to be extra hard. Just takes time to learn and be able to manipulate the footage how you want it in the different editing apps.
Morning Greetings from Zagreb Croatia. Thank you very much for great video my wife will get crazy but this camera is on my shoping list. Learning on your chanel help a lot. Awesome this is the second video from you I watched. I can’t wait to get this camera . My beach videos will look a lot better . Using dgi pocket 2 right now. This insta wil take it to another level !
Wonderful Steve, thank you so much. Recently purchased the Insta360 X3 and have yet to use it in anger due to the awful weather we've been having, especially in Tropical Essex hehe! Looking forward to filming my metal detecting videos with the 360! All the best, Marcus
Hey @Notched to 11 Metal Detecting UK Great channel! Ive just subscribed. I feel your pain with the uk weather...I've had to postpone a recent shoot 4 times in the last month due to rain. The struggle is real!..especially living in the uk 🙂
@@LearnOnlineVideo wow thanks for the sub Steve, massively appreciated!! Roll on the Spring (or some crisp clear winter days!) have a great Sunday my friend, Marcus
I guess I am more of a traditional video. The fisheye look takes away from the scene and kinda distracting to me. I do like the invisible selfie stick, but then the person's hand looks in a awkward position. Great tips,I always enjoy your videos. Greg
I think some people just edit it like that because I’ve seen footage where it looks totally regular and I had to comment to see if it was a 360 cam. Just depends on if they edit it the proper way imo but I actually like it sometimes especially the short action vids with quick cuts and various angles and cool shots. But it looks cool most of the time but it gave me anxiety before lol or seemed like I was getting motion sickness or something when that had that fish eye shit too weird and how they were recording and changing the shots.
@@LearnOnlineVideo thanks! Yeah we just sit opposite each other and sit the 360 camera on the table and it films us both without drawing much attention. I then export it twice, once in each direction, then switch between the to clips in the edit. Works quite well. Also if you use the track feature it gives a kind of hand held feel to it. We shot this video all with a 360. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--NbRmLVlZG8.html
This is mind blowing and a game changer for my travel idea. One question I have, can you use this while charging it with a power bank or something? Has anyone done this? Because looking at the specs, the battery life is an hour at best. What if I want to do a long walking video?
Hey, nice video. Thank you for sharing a lot of info. Could you point out which mount did you use with your e-bike? Can you share the link here. I could not figure that out from the links in your descriptions.
I would like to invite you to travel Bangladesh, specially at Sundarbans, the world largest mangrove forest to get a touch of wildlife & natural beauty.
Great Job Steve! One quick question, how do you get the studio 360 app on your laptop to edit large files? I have looked everywhere and I can't find. Please send me a link. I am using Windows computer
I said you obout iphone7. You suggest me for buying iphone 11. you are capsulatly rights,. Iam from Bangladesh. And iam students 😥iphone 11 price so high for my country. (Around 294 used) And i have no huge moeny. 😥 So what do i now...?( By the way iphone 7 also have video stabilizer) Give me a best idea bro,,,😊 I'm waiting to your reply...
Thank you for your videos. I bought the Insta360 X3 2 months ago and still have a lot to learn, but how do you deal with the battery? Did you buy such a battery set or do you use a power bank?
Spinning a lot in 360 videos is bad editing. I know that you showed it for effect but many people tend to over use in their videos and it gives me just a VR experience where I feel sick just watching it :) But overall great video, very helpful to decide if you need this camera type.
Great video. Just one question. The suction mount from the plane part is for a Go Pro. How do you attach this one to an Insta? It soesn't come with a screw.
I was planning to get airport and on the plane shots like yours on a recent trip from Australia to New Zealand with my 360 X3 - but In Australia, selfie sticks are banned from carry-on luggage as they are considered a potential bludgeoning weapon. Check the rules on whatever flights you are taking to save any embarrassment at security…😮
When I went through security I had both my 360 camera and selfie stick in my backpack. I did however get stopped and searched as my batteries set off a few alarm bells., they took out what they thought looked suspicious (cables, batteries etc), checked everything was all ok to travel with and then sent me on my way. Apart from a 2min hold up at security there were no other issues.
Yes.. All the time. I had to take it out, screw it in the camera and get it inspected many times. But, when I came into the same airport again, it was fine.
I really want to improve my videos..i almost watched yours and it inspired me to make more I mean starting right now.Can i ask what lens is better to use using iphonr 12? Thanks a lot if you notice me..
ha ha ha , this video is quite interesting as there are many shots from the airplane. Just be advised that most airliners forbid to shoot videos / taking photos in the airplane and you could get in trouble by doing that. You are not allowed to shoot cabin crew without their official consent. But I agree, Insta360 is amazing. I love mine more and more. I am using it everything . I completely dropped my GoPro. What I appreciate the most about insta360 is that you don't have to angle anything and you don't even need a drone as you can shoot many videos like fake drone footage with insta360
There is definite dizziness potential with these shots but the best thing about 360 cameras is that you have complete control of your framing. One feature is ‘horizon level’ which will keep your horizon completely level regardless of which way your camera is facing… I guess you could call it the ‘anti-dizzy’ shot 😀
