In this video, we go over how to shoot a soccer ball with power and accuracy from far away. When I say far away, I mean at least 18 yards away from goal. In most cases farther than that.
This is an incredibly important skill to develop because it will allow you to score more goals or take more chances which will in the end, help you and more importantly, your team.

Just another tip... place your standing foot around 5 to 7 inches from the ball and point it towards your target area, as you run up to kick it, run up in long strides instead of a short run burst to generate more momentum as you kick it and remember to try and not over extend your kicking leg as you kick, think of it as a boxer throwing a quick direct instead of an uppercut... Another thing with long shots is that you actually should try and generate some spin on the ball unless you can generate enough power to beat the goal keeper by the sheer speed of the ball which is a skill rarely mastered by anyone let alone young newcomers, power means nothing against a keeper with good positioning and reflexes.... there is also the flat kick technique which sees you kick the ball using the top of your boot where your laces would be on a normal sneaker, generally the same way as this video shows, except you're kicking trough the ball directly instead of using the side of your foot, using the above mentioned techniques I described with this kind of kick will generate allot of power when kicking outside of cca 20-25 yards... good luck all PS- read up on physics...it helps with all areas of the game

importnant tip: after i watched this video i realised something really important to do when kicking the ball. i wasnt generating a good amount of power through my kick , my shots werent even leaving the ground but its because i was trying to use my leg muscles to kick the ball too much you have to use the momentum that generates in your hips when you are running at the ball and when you stop suddenly you should let the momentum carry thwards you ankle and make you do like a whipping motion and your knee joint should be kinda loose

Thanks. That was useful. But I've noticed that most coaches forget about one major thing: remember to really bend the knee when winding up the swing to shoot. Many players, including my early years, have a tendency to keep the leg too straight when winding up for the shot and do not get the benefit of the knee-straightening muscles; you also lose the foot velocity that comes from the COMBINED swiveling (rotational speed) at the pelvis and knee

Out ow 10,000 + videos I have watched to learn how to hit a power shot, this is the video finally showed me and changed my entire football life. “Lock The ankle and genarate the power “, this “lock the ankle” part was the missing part I had entire my life. I have been playing soccer since I was 16 and sometime people Called me Maradona when I carry the ball between all The opposite players , but it was a secret about me that I cannot take a power shot or penalty shot no matter how much I tried. I was shy to ask from teammates as I was good in soccer (without the power kick part). As soon as I watched this video , I took the ball out and practiced to lock the ankle, instead of using entire leg to swing, boom, what an amazing shot I took. I felt to cry as I learned this on my 41st birthday. I Really appreciate for this video and finally I can kick to the ball

Dannyrobles04 believe in ur self I had a game today on Sunday I was payini left back the ball was passed on to me but it was quit away From me so i had to run fast to get it. I got there so close and u know what I did.... a roulete so effectively. then i passed the player and passed it . my parents were there. Your planting foot should also point towards where you want the ball to go to. If you're curling it aim a little bit off the goal or the target opposite of the way you want the ball to curl not too much though.

Just search up how to control the ball in the air, it’s very easy, for a quick explanation just curl your toes up, and cushion (before contact, to cushion it you will have to slowly move your ball down as you contact the ball, think of it as you falling down, if you just something mid air straight on it would hurt, if it goes down while you are, it will move slower, go to yt videos for better explanations) and you will have to use the toe area, not the toe, but the flat top of your foot
