Really helpful, thanks! I started with DR and loved it (especially because it's free!) but it's like driving an F1 car and it changes every couple of weeks. I switched to CapCut pro and am loving it. Dead easy and professional results (cheap even for the pro version). As a career instructor, you're good. Personally, I'd drop the 'you guys' verbal tic but whatever works for you. Just subbed!
This one was a great video. You broke it down so much easier than other people. Learned something new when talking about slowing down clips. Never knew it was as easy as 24 divided by 60fps. Thanks for this
Thank you for this man! Great information to prep for the day of the shoot. I’m feel more confident recording my first car shoot after watching your video. Thank you x 100000000 ❤
Love your videos! 24 fps only in USA, many pros say if you guys shoot in Europe, use 25 fps. There's a big difference using PAL system in Europe or NTSC in US. with 25 fps you also get rid of flickering LEDs because of 50hz electricity.
Really great video and I learned a lot - especially in regards to filming in 60fps and adjusting the speed in editing to suit. I'm still very much learning about videoing cars and this is a really fantastic video explaining B Roll footage. I've subscribed to your channel and going to check out a load more of your vids!
@@v_stands_for_value124 Haha! He’s a legend. Follow him on Instagram, great guy, great photographer and videographer. We do lots of work together. @captainreimer on insta!
I’m just not getting into car videography! Your content has been very helpful! I’m still practicing on my car. So I have the 16mm with no polarizer filter. Or the 35 with a polarizer filter. I feel like the 35 just isn’t wide enough. I have a 24-70mm but it’s just much for the rs3. Stupid adapter lol so should I use the 35mm or the 16? Or just use the 16 for the wide.
@@danishmasih7455 thanks for watching! Interestingly, while I do fully adhere to what the hoodie stands for as a person of faith, I got the hoodie from a marketing company called SALT when we were doing a job with Toyota Canada. Great company, good people. I don’t know if they are from a faith background or not though 🧐
Great video, can you recommend a good tutorial on camera tracking in AE? ive tried it before and i get small jumps or stutters, it is never smooth like the tutorials.
Bro nice video thanks for the tipps!🙌🏻 I have a question on Computers for editing , what computer do you use and when a Computer which one for editing? A Macbook pro maybe ?
Thanks mate! I use an M1 MacBook Pro and it’s pretty great, starting to feel it slow down maybe a little bit but it’s been a workhorse against high res video 🙌🏼
You said that its a good idea to get rolling shots of the car if possible. My question, as a newbie, if i make a car edit, with close/mid wide shots at 60fps, and want to add rolling shots aswell, should the rollers be 60fps then too? In another video of yours you said that 24fps look the best for rollers, so im not really sure what to do 😅
I personally do my rolling shots at 24fps, almost all the time. I use 60fps for detail shots and fancy b-roll, but 24fps for anything I want at “real-life speed” like talking head videos, behind the scenes, or rolling shots as a few examples.
I usually try and record for the platform I’m posting to. So I’ll often shoot both if I have the time. If I don’t, I prioritize horizontal and try and make it work for vertical.
Very good video but when you have an Android phone than you just simply download that video in your phone or that can you do also in your desktop instead of record that video👍
The S9 has some limitations on recording, I might suggest it’s bigger brother the Lumix S5ii. It also really depends on your needs for deliverables as it doesn’t have full frame slo motion, but as you can see it didn’t slow me down in this video. 👍🏼 Lots of research but most cameras are pretty dang good these days.
I have a question, on your next video can you talk more about video angles of the car to make it look good right off rip? That is my goal on my channel and I will set my mind to it
@@Vince66au often try and get a bit of both for posting to different platforms. Depending on what resolution I’m shooting I can use both as long as it’s framed well enough. But typically I’ll still shoot content native to each platform. Vertical for Instagram and landscape for RU-vid.
Definitely a question that should be asked to the client. Some don’t care at all, other do and you can remove the plate on the shoot to save you a lot of time in editing or you can cover it in post with your logo or something. I’ve had a lot more clients who don’t care then do, which is nice.
Great question. I will sometimes shoot 1080p still as it holds up very well still. Lots of movies and shows are still streaming 1080. So feel free to use it! I do 🙌🏼
You are right… but I suppose to capture the closest sense of motion blur that our eyes see, 24fps is the closest we can get, based on Hollywood I suppose?
