i have zve10 and even with manual focus it keeps showing grains / pixelations in and out if u know what i mean not sure why theres enough lighting n all
Mechanical table, the other table is on wheels... You're the most coolest, laziest person and I love it. 🤣🤣 I'm subbing on that alone. That's the level of ease I live for.
Great video and some excellent tips there Ben! Another option for mounting a camera overhead - I use an old boom arm style microphone floor stand, and bought a SmallRig camera clamp mount. I removed the microphone mount from the end of the boom arm and then clamped the SmallRig camera mount in its place. Now I can move the stand anywhere I want (as well as raise and lower its height by 3 feet or so), adjust the boom arm angle and have it pointing straight down at the subject area. Cheap and simple, and it works!
Very nice video man! I want to start a unboxing youtube channel but the problem is I don't know how to set up my studio. Now I found you video Im gonna try to start my channel! Thanks man! You're thr best!
this channel is so underrated. i want to start streaming craftmaking on twitch and this will be so helpful to me! I don't have nice equipment yet but with these tips i think i can make it work!
Huge fan of this video. Right now I have a ring light on a C stand with a phone holder to film my overhead shots. I’m mostly shooting notebooks so it’s works, but I need other options for when I’m filming screens or shiny options. Thanks for the lighting inspo.
Awesome PJ! Just GO FOR IT! In one month You’ll be happy you did. Don’t put pressure on it, just START and make content that adds value to people and that you love
@@benjohnsoncreative thanks! I’m trying like heck to find a table like you had to shoot the top down on. The ikea one I want isn’t available to ship sadly and my closest IKEA is 3 hours away haha
@@benjohnsoncreative 🙋♂️ i got some brass converter then a ball shaped thing to pit the dslrcon but turns out my standing scissor mic thing when you unscrew the dynamic mic holder the bass is very very thick! I mite return the two pieces and just tape my iphone to the mic holder scissor setup
Very helpful video. Would have liked to have seen some commentary on that cool monitor you have off to the side. How are you connecting it to the camera?
Thanks for sharing Ben. Please share the cheapest and best quality web camera for live recordings. Also what are these side lights you have? What do you call them? I am from India and I don't see them on Amazon in my country please share how should I buy these? Thanks a ton.
Definitely looks like an iPad right?! Haha but just a monitor. It’s pretty neat tho! Been using it with my iMac as a secondary to watch RU-vid videos while I make RU-vid videos 😂
Great video for flat shots. I'm thinking of upgrading from a Canon camcorder to a Z but I'm not sure which one, but I saw your Z video). Do you have any suggestions? I would like it easy and nothing fancy, Thank you
Not sure if this was the video you saw, if not, it should help answer: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Bu1AjBO7lNQ.htmlsi=1kZ5B6vgDNdInrqo
I would try putting the crystal on an angle or slant, and then angle your camera on a tripod to match to keep the flat lay look This may help You can also try bouncing the light off of other objects in the room to disperse it
The mic is a 5/8 thread You’ll need an Adaptor from 5/8 to 1/4 inch which would be a standard for camera tripods and phone mounts In my case I used a manfrotto ballhead which has a 5/8 thread on the bottom, and a quarter inch thread on the top
Hey Ben, how exactly did you setup the camera with the rode microphone stand? I bought the Ulanzi ballhead but can’t seem to figure out how to attach it to the stand. Also what goes in between the ulanzi and the camera, could you also link that?
You may need to get a 3/8 to 1/4 inch screw Adaptor to mount it to the Ulanzi. I’m using a manfrotto ballhead here which has a 3/8 inch screw on it instead of the regular 1/4 inch
I love this as an on camera monitor for filming myself: amzn.to/2PbxBKM The exact external one I use is out of stock but it’s a 4K 7inch around $150-200 any of those should work great
I discovered your channel today. Now I already rank it number two from premier gal channel. Love your work. I am spending the rest of 2020 on this channel. What are you planning for us new subs for year 2020?
Glad you are enjoying the channel! Let me answer your question with a question: what content would you like to see? I’m always interested to hear what my subscribers are finding beneficial, what problems you guys have, and if I can help bring solutions
@@benjohnsoncreative thanks so much for your warm welcome. Most RU-vid channels out there are churning out the IJKL of the industry. For most of us who are starting or almost starting, we are yearning to learn the ABCD of the industry. Glad that you are giving us that!
The desk in the description, is that for the one in the background or the one for the product shots. I'm in the market for one and I like how that has wheels. Cool channel, btw!
@@benjohnsoncreative thanks for the reply! Glad to hear it wasn't a special order, or something along those lines. Heading to their site to find it now. (or something comperable)
In this video I used a Song a6300 but I've recently switched to the Sony ZV1 and love it for overhead shots: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-roe4w5DYok8.html
Hey brother hows it going, extremly nice clean video, i wanted to ask im on a budget and i found a older black magic pocket cinema. Is this a good starter to get a similar feel like your videos. I do unboxings and reviews on my channel and im just getting into the quality of my videos.
@@benjohnsoncreative im glad you said that i actually found that exact camera for 300 with trading my crappy panasonic fz80, though it did get me through these rough time’s. Thank you greatly brother CHEERS 🥂
Hi Ben. Just wondered what frame rate and shutter speed you shoot your videos at. They are so crisp. I’m shooting 25fps / 1/50 shutter with manual focus. It just not as crisp as I would like. Thanks
