The best explanation i have watched about Timelapse shooting on Sony Action cam X1000 until now. But tell me do i need a software to gather all the pictures and make a video , or it came by itself . Thx again. Adelllll
+mohamed adel mida thanks for your glowing review of our video! Yes you need a software for timelapse editing. I recommend Action Cam Movie Creator. It's Mac and PC and it's free! Have fun!
Where can I seek DIY help to resolve the problem of pressing the recording button, and not activating. I have to manually open the back casing and press the recessed main button with a narrow tool.
@@wolfangdigital Thank you for your fast reply. Problem solved with the action cam app or the remote device provided. The next challenge is to turn off the device. The recording red button, on the door of the casing is not activating the tiny black switch on the body of the camera. Please advise. How cam I send you picture or video for better understanding ?
I have checked with sony repair centre, quote starts from rm250, and long waiting time, as it needa to be sent to Singapore for repair. Looking forward for advice.
Hey Baron. Well done mate. Excited as starting my 4WD adventure the day after with my new sony 1000 4K. Really good, crisp and to the point explanations. Baron, can we get the battery charged with a power bank at the same time we are shooting. or is it can be done only for time lapse and photo shoots and NOT for Video. if your answer is yes van you tell the best specification for a good power bank. krishnan
Hi Krishnan, thank you for your glowing review! Congrats on your new camera. Hope your 4WD adventure is going well. Yes you can shoot videos with a power bank attached and the best part is, you don't even need a battery inside the camera! Pineng makes good and cheap power banks but if you can find it, I prefer the tried and tested Water Element power bank. Get a power bank with at least 10,000 mAh and output of 5V, 2A Have fun!
has Sony removed the software for the Sony HDR AS 300 I can't find it for the GPS overlay. I have4 of these cameras and none ofthe will connect to the software.
Very nice tutorial, it was very use use usefull for me but I have a question. After I've captured all the photos to compose the time lapse, which is the du duration of each photo during the editing? Naturally every pic must have the same duration (i use adobe premiere pro cc for windows) , thanks for all
Thank you, I didnt understand what INTLVL was... :P So I tried using timelapse with photo mode, lol... Have the LVR kit too (LVR 2). I want to buy a qx1 too (also have a nex5r). Thinking about using the LVR with the QX1 and a lens for some artistic shots.
You're most welcome. There's a big difference between X1000 and X3000. Firstly is the optical stabilization, you got to see this to believe it. Next, there's the huge reduction in perspective distortion. Timelapse pics are now in 4K resolution
Hi! Great video and professional explained everything! Question: (if you know) I have premiere pro CC 2016 on mac. After I shoot time lapse photos, which speed to use to connect photos to create the video and which best export format? Thank you
Asalamu alaikum. Thanks for the video! Great content! . I noticed you set the interval between pictures, but can you set the total number of pictures you want too?
WolFang Digital thanks for the reply too! I read alot of reviews and comparison, Yes, I prefer Sony but there are few things that concerns me. 1. Can we use gopro accessories on Sony? 2. What software do you use to edit your videos or photos? Gopro itself has Gopro Studio but Sony does not seem to have it own editing software? Would you be kind enough to answer my question? Thanks in advanced! :)
SCheak Siaw I'm not aware of any accessories that are interchangeable between the two brands. If you are using Mac, the best free editor is iMovie. On Windows, that's a bit tough. You may have to go with the commercial softwares eg. Premiere Pro, After Effects, Sony Vegas or Edius. Sony does have their own editing software for consumer level called Sony Movie Studio. Worth giving it a try...
+Alfonso Moreno Hi there, sorry for my late reply. We use Final Cut Pro X on a Mac but if you have a Windows PC, you can try PremierePro. Those are 2 of the best video editing software for timelapse. All the best!
I got one question to u. Are u can record movie on this SanDisk Card in XAVC S format with 100MB speed? Beacuse I buy Lexar memory card and can record only with 60MB speed :( Thank you for help.
Hi, i am having the same 4k action cam. As you might be knowing that there are tonns of video modes in it, I get confused every time because i dont know which mode to use in different situations. Can you please make a video of it! Thank You Sir!
+Param Rajeshirke Good suggestion on the video modes. I will work on making a tutorial on that. Meanwhile, hope this helps- it really depends what you want to shoot. The higher frame rates are for shooting slow motion videos. The higher the frame rate, the more you can slow down the action. 4K mode is for folks who want to shoot the highest quality video.
+Param Rajeshirke go to SETUP - V.FMT - Choose HD. Then go back to the main menu and choose SETUP - VMODE - Choose 1080 100p 100 M for the best quality and best slow mo.
Hi I've got the Sony fdr-x3000 and was looking at your power bank, because in 4K with all the stabilisation and GPS etc I'm barely getting 45 minutes of battery life. But I found a setting in the menu USB power supply. Do you have a recommended power bank you'd suggest. I'm intending using the camera for up to 4 hours at a time, the Standard Sony battery is not going to allow this. I want to avoid changing batteries especially during time lapse shoots so as not to bump the framing, So your advise would be greatly appreciated I have seen the Jackery Force 420 PD Portable Charger, 20000mAh Power Bank and do you think this would work. Trying to get information out Sony is like getting blood out a stone. I did ring them and got shuffled around departments and after several hours the and manty calls I gave asking. So now I'll ask an expert achieving the end result I want Thankyou.
Hi Gordon, I personally use a 10,000 mAh power bank. It works perfectly and attaching/disengaging it does not alter the position of the X3000. I feel any brand of power bank would work. The cheaper Chinese brands work great, in particular Pineng as you can buy more of them. My tip is to always have a fully charged battery in the X3000 so when you’re changing power banks, the X3000 will continue operating with battery power. Hope this helps. @@wolfangdigital Thank I didn't want to change the internal battery in case I bumped the camera you've answered my question do you experience over heating issues
@@wolfangdigital I've not experienced over heating but Sony on their web site say it could overheat with the external power supply . I think Sony may be trying to for us to buy their batteries. But I saw your video and you live a in much warmer climate and I trust the end user often more than I trust these companies Thanks for your time
