How to: Shop on eBay for vintage jewelry like a pro, I am an authentic professional expert, specializing in vintage jewelry and this is my method that I developed over several decades. Calling these "tips and tricks" is an understatement! This eBay search flow can apply to whatever you are looking for so "enjoy the hunt" as they say...

I also look at the Junk Drawer Lots. Many times it is older men doing these to supplement the retirement income. And being men, if it isn't real gold, they consider it not worth anything and throw jewelry in these Junk Drawer Lots.

Love it. I picked up a large chunky I think sand cast silver ring after watching one of your videos. It looks vague.y like some type of mark but I could be wrong

When you watch an auction that you plan to bid on and there is a bid on it already do you click on the bidder to see their #’s. To get an idea if they are newer to eBay or if you are bidding against a seasoned reseller. Like on the earrings toward the end of the video you said you planned on swiping. 🤷🏼‍♀️

I don't pay attention to other bids or bidders. I just put the top bid at what I think I am willing to pay, and snipe it.

The time to have bought was in 1998 on Ebay when kids were dumping out their parents, grandparents, and great grandparents jewelry boxes and selling everything for pennies on the dollar. Now, when I go on Ebay I have sticker shock when I see the prices of vintage jewelry. I do agree "hidden gems" can be found on a novice Seller'd site, but few and far between. I have a keen eye, but honestly the pieces I use to get for $35.00 are now going for $325.00 to $695.00. I remember when I bought out a warehouse in Italy of Florenza cameo brooches which went out of business in 1948 for $5 each and now these are going for $50 - $85 each.

Is there a manual or book that has info about antique jewelry, etc that you can recommend? Or even some kind of website? I understand that there are certain marking that should be looked for, or just simply knowing what is from what era but I have no idea where to start! Yes I love the quality of the old signed pieces. But I go through phases of favorites. One of my first loves was early Boucher, and I love 1970's and 1940's Trifari in particular. Regency and Kramer still look modern even today... sigh It's impossible to choose. :) XO ~Dawn

This is probably the dumbest question ever but here goes....on your screen next to the items' price is the timer showing the amount of time left and also the details of the seller. Mine only shows the amount of time left. Where is the filter to show the seller's name and the number of sales they have had as shown on your screen. Signed: I've been home alone too long.... Hello I've been home alone too long (😁), That is a great question! Right under the search box, to the right of "Time: ending soonest" is the drop down box.
