How does the hem not have to be taken in to match the width of further up the pant leg in flared jeans?

A very complicated and lengthy method. I cut the pants from the bottom according to the size I want, leave two fingers for the fold, and sew it with yellow jeans thread available at Walmart, and that’s it.

It’s easier to sew with pins if you point the pins long wise on the hem instead of the long wise pins you do. Just a suggestion, mind you. Beautiful job
