We use a motion coach. We use push, tear, orbit & circus. Push signal for push, tearing paper, drawing the letter O for orbit and coloring the jaws for circus as in a clown. I just tell the motion coach to be balanced. Don’t over use one type of motion throughout the game. If we go fast I say Indy before the play call and he holds up a picture just for a little fun for the fans and the motion player lines up in post snap position.
You mentioned that the qb tells the line to pass pro left. Does the qb have to relay every call to your line? Do you disguise it at all? Do you have multiple calls for same play (lion and left are both pass pro left)?
Approximately how many formations do you run a game? We run a lot so we have a hard time signaling those in. Wondering if you found away to do it or if you cut down on formations.
Hey...I hope I'm not not of line answering...I put Green in last year after first watching Coach McKie videos last year. It is very versatile formation. Push and tear motions creates a natural misdirection but the formation also lets you run power easily. Not motioning the backs lets you set up 7 protection (Which I would do sometimes to run 6) or double flares. One of McKie's videos he mentions...most defenses assume you're running out of Green so passing can be more successful. My team certainly had some good success passing out of Green.
