Hi there, Liron here!
In this lesson we'll learn simplification by looking at some amazing works by painting masters.
Unlike my main Painting Masters series, in this lesson we'll review these paintings from the specific prism of SIMPLIFICATION.
I hope you'll enjoy this one! 😊🙏🏼

Thank you for opening up these paintings for us. It is so difficult to limit and focus detail. Have wrecked sooo many drawings with TOO MUCH - never mind color. Looking forward to catching up on videos you've done while I was away. Love your passion, perspective, and generous modest spirit.

James Gurney is what made me revisit Water and Gouache after a long break. And your style and videos helps keep me motivated to move it along. Thank you for the videos!

Wonderful choice- Sargent, Turner and the amazing Chien are my favourites. Connecting shapes, I’ve heard it so many times even before this lesson, I’ll probably dream about it tonight. Maybe a future demo, Liron about how to connect shapes AND make them read as separate elements, like Chien's buildings for example? Just something that might demonstrate the importance of this connection . Thanks , it was very inspiring.

That's a great nuanced point! I'll brainstorm a good way of presenting and teaching it 😊

Thank you so much for this. Thanks also for introducing Marc Folly to me. My all time favourite artist is CC Wei but Marc’s style just took my breath away.

Thank you, Liron! I love museum tours so much & I felt like I was on one, but packed with so much more info. on the artistic methods, composition, & color theory, etc. as seen by a true artist rather than curator or guide.

Thank you I feel like you personally put a lot into this vid. As soon as the first Turner picture flashed on the screen I immediately recognized it. Seeing his work in person is spellbinding

I really enjoy this video! Thank you for make me know these artists. I was already aware about some of them but nor all. The lesson we can lern from them works is really precoius and could bring inspiration for develop a personal style. Totally agree that even if it looks easier to stay loosy and keep a low number of details, that's not easy at all. Thank you again!

I liked this one a lot. That picture Gurney did of the house and the man standing in front of it is on his channel and he does a trick and actually the man is him and he comes alive and starts walking around in the painting. Cheers Liron

It's interesting that so many Artists in this video broke the "rule" of painting warm colors in the foreground and cool colors in the background to create distance or depth. Very interesting to look at these works and your commentary. Thank you.

Hi Liron, nice video on different simplification techniques used by artists. Just wanted to let you know that the last of Turner's paintings is called ' the burning of the houses of parliaments'. While the color scheme is simplified ,the finish is great because of tonal values . Really admire all the artists you've chosen. :)

Hi Liron...could you do a video on choosing my subject of painting? Other day I chose very complex painting...complex architecture in rain...dimlight...etc ..failed miserably to achieve the value. I think choosing what to paint at one's own level of expertise is important . Could you suggest on this
@LironYan
@LironYan 3 года назад
Haha I definitely agree! Choosing a simple & accessible subject is very important. I actually did a few vids on the topic. In case you missed them, you can watch here: From this course: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-K_dy4zIor1c.html Older vid that shows how to choose, and also how to edit it to make it simpler to paint - ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--q4io0Z15eU.html I hope these help 😊🙏🏼
